FORMER child star Corey Feldman has been hit with a drugs charge just days after he spoke out about sexual abuse in Hollywood.
The 46-year-old, who starred in films including The Goonies and The Lost Boys as a teenager, was due to perform with his band in Louisiana, USA, before being arrested by police.
He was charged with one count of possessing marijuana and one count in regard to a traffic violation, according to local reports in Richland Parish.
The News-Star reported that the actor turned musician was not held in jail overnight but that he will likely have to pay a fine.
He was due to perform at the nearby Live Oaks Bar & Balloroom but in a Facebook post earlier today the venue said that: "Due to unforeseen circumstances, the Corey Feldman show has been cancelled.
"We would like to apologise for the cancellation. He will still be coming to hangout and it's totally free".
Local reports suggest six other individuals were also charged at the time of Feldman's arrest.
The arrest happened a few days after Feldman spoke out against sexual abusers in the wake of the Harvey Weinstein scandal.
Writing on social media on Thursday, he detailed his alleged experiences while a child star in Hollywood.
It isn't the first time he has spoken out about the issue and alleges that a paedophile abused him and other child stars.

Arrested for MJ possession in this day and age?
Right. Somebody just want’s to make life more difficult for him and this is their most recent shot across the bow.
If he keeps talking he’ll be Breitbarted
I guess he’s to take this as a warning. If he doesn’t name names, his charges are useless.
Nobody cares about Corey Feldman.
Hollywood attacks! Every witness probably has their own sleazy Hollywood private eye and for big celebrities they probably assign a whole team.
It wouldn’t be useless to Feldman because he did report names to the police years ago and would be hit with a huge civil liability lawsuit under California law now that the statute of limitations has expired.
Pretty disgusting comment there. We don’t put up with hat stuff around here.
Reads to me like someone ratted him out.
He was arrested not because of anything he said. He is a well known drug user. Louisiana is not California. Stupid stoners cant seem to figure that out
Maybe he thought LA was L.A.
Naming names would protect just him.
He’s already said it’s about protecting others close to him.
He said he’s working on another way to solve the problem.
I would guess he’s passing the info to someone who can bring charges without him becoming a material witness.
Where is Sessions?
C’mon Feldman. You have nothing to lose. Give sworn testimony to a House or Senate select committee on pedophilia in Hollywood and start naming names. Demand Secret Service-level protection. You’ll be immunized from any lawsuits.
No you fool. Not all states treat pot like a nothing burger. Louisiana is NOT California. When one is too stoned to recognize that its on them
In Louisiana. I didn't know they were so strict in that state, but maybe laws on the books allow them to be strict selectively, i.e., when they feel like it.
One count of a traffic violation and marijuana possession? He was set up.
These people will stop at nothing. I’m surprised he wasn’t just killed.
Nah just like Shia LeBeouf he is notorious. Too stupid to know that not all states are California
