Colin Kaepernick opted out of his contract with the 49ers in the offseason and has been a free agent ever since -- even though he said last month that he's "ready now" to play in the NFL. Depending on who you ask, Kaepernick's fate isn't about him being blackballed for kneeling during the national anthem last season to protest social injustice, but is simply a function of poor play in recent years.

He’s not that good of a qb
somebody get that a binky!!!
I hope he never plays again and makes sneaker commercials for a living.
Every single report and every single commentator said that Tebow was not picked up because of poor performance.
Kaepernick doesn’t have a leg to stand on.
He may be ready for Tennessee, but deep red Tennessee isn’t ready for anthem kneeling, pig-sock wearing, America hating, so-so quarterbacks.
There is no need for collusion. Who the hell wants this jerk on their team?
I think he should be hired by somebody in the NFL. If he can bring down ratings and revenue between 15% and 30% from the outside, he can collapse the whole league by January from the inside.
It is a shame this guy doesn’t seem to understand how his divisive position and how he goes about promoting it, would somehow diminish his market value. The quarterback position is mostly about decision making and leadership......CK has been a failure.
SMH.
oh... and the ‘60’s are calling... they want their hairstyle back....
What team would want the media circus that would come with him?
They can’t discriminate about his race, religion, color or creed, but they sure as hell can discriminate against poor to mediocre stats, his inability to function in a team environment, and his negative publicity draw.
Yes, there’s collusion, it’s called implicit collusion. They don’t have to talk to each other and negotiate not hiring him. They’r instinctively not hiring him.

Hire him for $1 and keep him on the bench for the season.
Perhaps he can sell a brand of knee pads. All that kneeling has to be rough.
It might actually save the league - by refocusing the fans' wrath on the one team dumb enough to sign him. :)
Well, Colon, we ain't ready to watch you.
Or any of the other dipsticks in the National Fools League.
Turn to farming, dipstick, 'cause you can definitely reap what you sow.
Since all the sports channels are so insistent that CK is QB savior, why wouldn’t they want his keen expertise in the announcing booth until some team figures out his genius? C’mon ESPN or CBS, put him in the booth!
:: makes sneaker commercials for a living ::
Or, maybe, gets a gig with a car rental company that shows him running through the airport?
