Today years of home schooling and teaching honor, duty and love for country came to fruition. My two oldest sons Marshall (19) and Mitchell (18) left for MCRD San Diego. These are two fine young Christian men who have never gave their mother or I any real trouble or grief. They have never so much as back talked us. It was a proud moment for us as we watched them take the oath to protect the Constitution of the United States. Neither of them were looking for a career they just wanted to do what they felt was a duty to this still great Republc we are blessed to live in. The oldest has worked for me for several years as a heavy equipment mechanic and the younger as a machinist for a year. Both finished homeschooling at 17. They wanted to go infantry and held out to get that before signing.
My prayer is that they would fulfill their duty as given in Colossians 3:17 to do everything as unto the Lord.
Ooh Rah!
Semper Fi!
You’re right about Eternal life being most important.
Regards-
Yes it is.
I pray for my sons Christian witness more than their personal safety.
I pray they serve in a manner that is honorable and fitting of their Lord Jesus Christ.
May God bless all the men and women in service to this country.
MAGA
Congrats and prayers for their successful service to our nation.
Well said and right on.

“Semper Fi!”
Short for “semper fidelis”, Latin for “always faithful”, I believe.
Sorry. I was commenting on Post 3, not Post 2. Apparently #2 has been removed.
ditto; though it didn’t kick in very good until about 20 years later.
Congratulations! Let us know when they graduate.
Must be proud of them. Bless them and God protect them !!!
