Christian Numerologist Says World Will End On Sept. 23
CBS - PHILLY ^ | September 20, 2017 11:52 AM | Satff

If you had plans for the weekend, a Christian numerologist says you won’t get to them because the world is about to end.

David Meade, a self-proclaimed “researcher,” is predicting that a series of apocalyptic events will begin on Sept. 23 and, “a major part of the world will not be the same.”

According to Meade, the mysterious rogue planet Nibiru, also known as Planet X, is on a collision course with Earth, which will bring world-ending tsunamis and earthquakes. The numerologist claims the dates of recent events like the Great American Solar Eclipse and Hurricane Harvey’s flooding of Texas were all marked in the Bible. Meade now says his “Planet X theory” lines up with more bible codes and ancient markers on the Egyptian pyramids.

NASA has already dismissed the prediction; calling the whole thing a hoax. The space agency has reportedly known about the Nibiru conspiracy theory for years and shot down the talk of Armageddon in a 2012 statement.

“If Nibiru or Planet X were real and headed for an encounter with the Earth … astronomers would have been tracking it for at least the past decade, and it would be visible by now to the naked eye.”

Meade is a self-published author who writes that he studied astronomy at the University of Louisville. He and other doomsayers have actually been saying Nibiru would crash into the Earth several times before; which clearly did not happen. The latest prediction came in 2012 and was linked to the end of the Mayan calendar.

Robbery Suspect Plans To Sue Good Samaritan Who Stopped Robbery

Further casting doubt on the theory, a Montreal-based radio producer attempted to book Meade for an interview to discuss his prediction, but he informed her that he wasn’t available for interviews until next week.

No!

I just related the unadulterated word of Yehova as it was given to us.

Seems we are hung up on semantics. I am using the word theory to mean a propsition no matter how likely, certain, unlikely, or impossible the propsition is, Im still calling it a theory. A propsition concerning God therefore is a theological theory the way I use the term. Now even your latest rebutal was a propsition about God and how he relates to the Bible.

Newly re-born baby Jesus saves? Or did the guy need grow to manhood before paying the price for redemption of souls?

I'd be looking to see if Jubilee and Trumpets would again coincide, about 30 to 50 years from now -- if I knew how.

Guessing toward stuff (possibilities) and having a bunch of other "stuff" laying around at our feet (while we trample around through it) --how about see if the co-incidence reoccurs not more than 120 years beyond Gregorian calendar year 1948?

So, then, you do not believe that Yehova made a special effort to have his word delivered in a manner that sent his message plainly, and unmistakably? (to avoid having his sheep dependent upon nicolaitans to deliver his word)

This will definitely be the last jubilee!

By the end of 2024, Yeshua will be physically present in Jerusalem, ruling from the throne of David.

Satan will be bound, and only the sinful nature and total depravity of man will be working against him.

I think the Bible has a lot in it, including very plain and clear language. It also has Psalms and poetry. It also has prophecies which seem less plain to me. It seems to have lists of generations that I find less interesting to read, and I seem to get less out of then the parables of Jesus for example. It has historical chronicles of the Kings of Israel and Judah. It has riddles in it, like what the hand wrote on the wall in the book of Daniel....that one being explained, but some of the riddles in Daniel's visions not being explained to us yet. It seems to have Lucifer represented as a snake in the Garden of Eden, and as a dragon in the Revelation of Jesus witness through Saint John. It has the messages Jesus sent to the 7 churches in that revelation...with specific messages. It has specific messages Saint Paul sent to various churches in Early Christendom, that we can learn from although they were not directed to us.

Do I think it all inspired revelation from God? I think the parts that claim to be are. But I am not sure the parts that are just chronicles of what happened like 1 and 2 Kings are exactly "revelations".

Do I think it all "plain language"...well no, unless you mean something different than "plain language" than I do. It seems that prophecies have symbolic riddles in them sometimes that are not plain at all.

But the Bible has a lot of"plain language" in it. God for example rests on the seventh day. God gets angry and even jealous sometimes. These passages convey in plain language that everybody can relate to something that is more difficult to understand about God. God for instance does not "get angry" in the sense that we do. When we get angry we enter a period of time where the passion of anger sets up shop and precludes other attitudes during that duration. Our anger is not necessarily always righteous by our nature as God's anger is necessarily righteous by His. God transcends time and is eternal. He does not really need to "rest" and He is all powerful, and He does not really need to "make a special effort" in the sense we have to make an effort. He did choose to have some if not all of these limitations as Jesus on Earth (I do not presume to know exactly what limitations he had here, seems highly speculative). A naive skeptic might ask how God could be incarnate in Jesus and "at the same time" be the Father in Heaven, and to answer the skeptic takes a good understanding of...wait for it...Theology.

About halfway into your second paragraph, I began to realize that you have no patience with Yehova’s word, and likely would much more enjoy being mislead in a fascinating way by a clever-by-half nicolaitan.

Daniel’s prophecy has revealed itself to believers about 2000 years ago, in the 70 week ministry of Yeshua, and The Revelation penned by John. The historic writings have much to offer the careful reader in understanding the prophetic writings.

I am familiar with the 70 week prophecy and how it turned out to be a count down to the coming of Jesus. Sir Isaac Newton got it as well in his commentaries....although I do not consider myself as good a student of prophecy as Newton. But he, at least at his time, considered there were still unanswered riddles in it. And certainly for the people who lived between 500BC and when Christ was born the prophecy may not have been plain. And I would venture to guess most saved Christians on this Earth probably don't realize the answer to this prophecy, It was not directed at the common man, but to the wise. And I am not myself wise enough to get all the prophecies in the Bible.

I actually think that thinking one can clearly understand all of prophecy clearly may have been the problem the guy in the article had. I must confess it is certainly not all plain in meaning to me...but where I am uncertain, I will admit I am uncertain and not preach a guess as if it were God's word....like the nuts that keep being wrong about the end of the world.

Obviously you are not familiar with the fact that there were three layers to the 70 week declaration, one of which was that Yeshua’s ministry would be exactly 70 weeks in duration.

Every prophecy is directed to “the lost sheep of the House of Israel.” Perhaps they are all wise men ????

No one ‘gets’ a prophecy that they don’t have the patience to prayerfully study.

Many of those that identify as “Christians” are simply not Yeshua’s sheep, as evidenced by his words.

The “end of the world” is a millennium away.

I certainly do not claim to have gotten all the prophecies. And you are welcome to disparage me for not doing so if you wish. I do think I am in the company of most Christians though....if that be any defense.

Several years ago, I did spend a number of days trying to understand the 70 weeks and I am not sure I got all the meaning in it. But indeed, I could have spent more time on it. There were indications that there was more to it than I had gotten. I just got what seemed most obvious. If I were a full time theologian, maybe I would get more.

But I am still a little cautious of accepting the claims of people that have studied it more deeply and see more meanings. Maybe they are right or maybe they are wrong...but it seems there have been several examples of people reading in what must not have been there, since there is no shortage of end-of-the-world pronouncements that people claim to have been scriptural that have not come to be.

Chuck Misler seems to me a good example of somebody who has some insights I don't have into prophetic interpretation. I find him fascinating to listen to. He got me interested in the 70 weeks. And I was surprised and delighted with the investigation. But still I am not going to trust Chuck Misler's reading of the prophecies 100%. I don't think he trusts all of his ideas himself, and is intelligent enough not to think he has it down for certain.

I am especially cautious about people who claim to know it all and get it all. Those seem to be the types that make the false dooms day predictions. And they seem to be the type that found heresies like Gnostism etc.

Chuck and Man are great people, but Chuck’s ideas are way out in the dark dispensational woods.

>> “I do think I am in the company of most Christians though.” <<

According to Yeshua, “most christians” are lost souls that seek the broad, easy path. Narrow is the path that leads to eternal life he said.

How many congregations did he praise in ch2 and 3 of the Revelation? Really only the Philadelphians. He praised them for keeping his appointed times, and promised to take them through the tribulation safely.

I don’t want to be numbered with “most christians.”

I remember that parable that Jesus told about those on his left and those on his right. It was all about feeding him when he was hungry and visiting him when he was sick and such. I think I would rather be on the one side than the other, but the issue did not seem to be one of understanding prophecy really well.

Feeding the hungry and caring for the sick are only one of the commandments.

His way includes all of them.
