A MYSTERIOUS sea beast has stunned experts after it was discovered on the shore in the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey.
The freakish creature was spotted decaying on a US beach in Texas City, Texas, once the superstorm had cleared.
The monster similar to something from horror movie It can be seen in photos with its fangs and tail trailing across the sand.
Preeti Desai, from the National Audubon Society, found the monster lying on the empty beach.
FREAK OF NATURE: The sea beast washed up on the Texas shore following Hurricane Harvey
======================================================================
She said: We were on a beach in Texas City and saw this thing from afar, so I got closer to figure out what it was.
Ive already got a huge interest in wildlife, especially birds and ocean creatures, but it was so unexpected to see it there on the beach. On first glance it looked like something from the deep sea to me."
She added: My initial thought was it might be a sea lamprey, but when I got close I realised there was no way that was what it was, particularly based on the mouth.
ALIEN: The monster could be a tusky eel which lives in the depths of the Gulf of Mexico =======================================================================
BEAST: The creature was swept up by Hurricane Harvey which wrecked Texas
=======================================================================
We squished it around a bit, and even turned it over but couldnt come up with any other ideas.
But while no-one is certain what the beast actually was, Dr Kenneth Tighe of the world-renowned Smithsonian National Museum of National History thinks it may be a fang tooth snake-eel.
The creature also known as a husky eel is native to the Gulf of Mexico and lurks beneath the surface where it feasts on bony fish and crustaceans.
Based on the feather and stick near it it looks in the 12-16 foot range.
Was it true that a well known fast food chain claimed rights to the beast in the name of science?
So has anyone seen a good sea monster cook book?
Need a scale in the pictures. The pictures make it look like a behemoth but the fangtoothed snake eel maxes out at about 3 feet long. Is that white straight item next to it a drinking straw or something equivalent in length?
They talk eels so Im thinking its not overly big.
Yes, I noticed that...:^)
If it is a “Fangtooth snake-eel” then it is probably about 3 ft long - not quite monster size.

Are you sure you posted to the right thread? There is nothing about Hillary in this story.
The last photo shows some shoe prints in the sand at the bottom, right corner.
Chelsea Clinton dropping placentas where ever she wants...
Hillareel?
A.Totally eyeless, so it was probably a bottom feeder.
May have hunted food via sonar.
B. Vestigal fins.
C. A large heavily boned head with a domed forehead. Good for burrowing down.
D. Few predators to worry about.
E. A fast swimmer with a very strong body.
F. Something between a Dolphin and a reptile is one guess.
Never know, a little butter....
Imagine that wearing a boob-belt, now do you see it?
Proof that water wasn’t just getting sucked out of the bays and harbors...
Helen Thomas came back as a mermaid?
I am reminded of a short story I read many years ago. It was about a storm, and after there was the body of a GIANT MAN on the beach.
If I remember correctly, no one knew where it came from, what to do with it or how to get rid of it. So a dog food company came and took part of it, soon only a few ribs remained, which some later tourists thought came from a whale.
Found it! THE DROWNED GIANT or SOUVENIR from Playboy.
(See I did buy it to read the articles!;-D)
Hopefully she doesn’t wake up next to weird sea creatures very often...
