Who should we donate in support of Harvey?
Vanity | August 29, 2017 | Self

OK Freepers, what is the best charity to give to support Harvey?

The Red Cross? I have been hearing them panned since Vietnam.

What about the Salvation Army?

Hey, the Clinton Foundation did great work in Haiti, just ask Hillary.

What are your suggestions?

Yeah, I've read it a number of times.

S/A didn't turn political.
They tried to avoid being political.

It's people here who are pissed that the S/A didn't hold to their political line.

I have read through this entire thread and I missed where Samaritans Purse was taking a vacation at Mara-Lago.

Get It?

I stand corrected. Thank you for your information regarding The Salvation Army. I withdraw my remarks lumping them in together with the Red Cross and apologize. The Salvation Army does indeed appear to be a well run, good charity.

I understand your opinion on this, BUT it was the Red Cross and the Salvation Army people that made this Political as soon as they changed the Venue.

The same Venue they have used numerous times before and where Donald Trump handed them a bunch of his own Money while also Donating the use of the Premises.

You know, that was when Donald Trump was a just another New York Liberal so nothing he ever said was considered “controversial”.

Everything is Political nowadays, in case you haven't noticed.

Let's see, the FLOUTS wore High Heels when she and the POTUS left the White House today on their way to Texas.
The Press was apoplectic.

Then she got off AF1 in Texas wearing Sneakers, not the same $500 Sneakers that Moochelle wore to a Soup Kitchen and was lauded for by the DNC Media, but Sneakers none the less.

Yep, everything is Political.

The issue is, that it wasn't the Salvation Army who made Mar-A-Lago political.

Others made it political and SA had to respond.

>>>And here, you and others consider your politics superior<<<

I missed this part of your Reply on my first glance at your Post.

I do not consider my Politics “superior” to anyone posting on FR, whatever than means. I expressed an Opinion based on what others were Posting here for their Reasons to Donate to other Charities rather than the Red Cross and the Salvation Army.

As an aside, my Wife donates Blood through the Red Cross. She seems to have a superior Vintage which makes her very popular with them.

I on the other hand have received Blood and Platelet Transfusions to treat my Leukemia on more than one occasion through the Red Cross Blood Bank.

Why are they at Mara-Lago in the first place?

You certainly didn't when you accused me of not knowing the answer to a bunch of questions you asked and it turned out you were the one who didn't know which end was up.

That’s a way to look at it, but one man’s “respond” can be seen as another man’s caving into Blackmail.

Just an Opinion that I think more than a few people Posting here share.

As for my Household, we donate goods to Goodwill and SA. That will not change, especially since SA will come and pick up large Donated Items while our local Goodwill doesn’t.

Respond to who? If they cannot explain why they are there then shouldn't that be a flag? If it is a fund raiser from donors, just say so. An outfit such as the S/A should not be taking marching orders from the MSM or Anti-fa

No, they didn't.

By responding they made it political.

They could have simply said that they were going to continue with their plans because they were not political.

They instead made their event political by licking the fascists boots and canceling the event.

If that is the way they want to play then they can count on a back lash.
