A 30-year-old man from Göttingen died on Sunday after bringing a barbecue inside his tent at the Nürburgring Olé music festival. The accident occurred after the man had brought the grill into his tent because he was cold, reported Bild newspaper.
But because the grill had not been completely put out, carbon monoxide poisoning cost the man his life.
Last seen alive shortly after midnight on Sunday morning, the festivalgoer was found at around 9:45am, at which time it was too late for rescue workers to save him.
I always bring BBQ into my tent. Usually baby back ribs. never killed me yet.
Migrant? I kinda think the native Danes might know better.
Stupidity like that comes from every nationality,even Danish.

Assuming Denmark is routinely very cold in the winter, and assuming the local populace has had long experience with being cold and people getting monoxided to death, I merely assumed that they were more likely to know about this risk, while a migrant probably wouldn't.
You can’t be serious. You know how easy it is the die from CO poisoning? When I lived in Queens New York city, we had a major snow storm one week and a guy who lived up the block from me parked his car at the same time a plow was coming down the street. When the plow passed him by, it pushed snow under his car and blocked his exhaust. He died within minutes. He wasn’t stuck in the car, he had plenty of room to get out at the drivers side, he was just overcome with the CO and that was that. If your tent is filled with CO, you will never know it.
And in addition, his IQ may have been 70 (or average for his country of origin).
Wonder if alcohol was involved?

Some forms of stupid can’t be fixed
Just like the careless idiots here in FL who leave their little kids and pets in a locked car with the windows rolled up. It may come as a shock to these clueless schmucks but this time of year it gets a bit warm this time of year to say the least.These things happen elsewhere but hardly a day goes by when you don’t hear of such an unnecessary tragedy down here of all places. You’d think anyone with half a brain would instinctively know to make sure these things don’t happen.

A few years ago something similar and far worse happened at a motorcycle rally here in the U.S.. Several of the bikers went to sleep in an air conditioned trailer, CO fumes from the AC’s engine got into the trailer, and all of them, about 5, were killed. It was so bad that some of their attempted rescuers were overcome by the fumes.
A family of four died the same way at a campground we were set up in - mid 1960’s near Ocean Shores, Washington. Hibachis and tents don’t mix.
And don’t ever forget that sneaky killer dihydrogen monoxide.
