We recently asked members of the BuzzFeed Community which books need to be turned into TV Shows. Here are some of the best responses...

The Chronicles of Thomas Covenant
Chronicles of Amber by Roger Zelazny. I want to see a hellride done with modern CGI.
Dune for sure. Lord of the Rings. The Talisman by Stephen King.
Patrick Rothfuss’s “Kingkiller Chronicles,” a planned trilogy stuck on 2 released books, has apparently already been optioned to television or a movie. I have truly enjoyed the story so far, but I would worry that the show runners would have to resort to making up an ending, like the Game of Thrones writers after George R.R. Martin didn’t produce the final 2 books.
There was the short lived BBC series that had the real Marvin.
Mote in God’s Eye
FootFall
Dying Earth
Earth Abides
Battlefield Earth
Planet of Adventure series by Jack Vance.
1. Larry Niven’s “Ring World” & sequels.
2. Felipe José Farmer’s “River World” & sequels but done properly!
3. E. E. “Doc” Smith’s “Lensman” series.
4. Richard C. Meredith’s “We All Died at Breakaway Station”.
To name a few!
Holly Lisle’s “Tales from the Longview”. Action, skulduggery, twisty little plot, surprise creepiness, and consistent but not-sledgehammered philosophy. Never gonna happen, but a girl can dream...
Yes please, although the last set of 4 is killing me to get through. Just not the same spark as the first two trilogies.
I’d go with the Liveship books myself, if I were looking for a property to make into a TV series. I like the off-the-beaten path setting and the fact that not all of the characters are suffering angstmuffins. :) Admittedly, the sea serpents might be tough, but that’s why we have CGI.
I just bought the final novel but now have to read all of them again...it's been decades.
Monster Hunter International by Larry Correia.
Yah that would be good...I saw the TV movie or whatever it was....WAAAAYY to lame and tame.
Huckleberry Finn by Samuel Clemens.
Anything by James Lee Burke, Michael Connelly and Robert Crais.
The Angelique series of books by Serge and Anne Golon.
Remo Williams series.
The Sanctury universe.
Most people put those down when he rapes the girl at the beginning of the first novel.
