FULL TITLE: Terminally ill baby Charlie Gard's parents 'upset' after losing final appeal in European court - meaning their son's life support WILL be switched off
The parents of terminally-ill baby Charlie Gard are 'upset' and facing fresh heartbreak after losing their final appeal in the European Court of Human Rights.
Chris Gard, 32, and Connie Yates, 31, wanted to take their 10-month-old son - who suffers from a rare genetic condition and has brain damage - to the US to undergo a therapy trial.
Doctors at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children in London, where Charlie is being cared for, said they wanted him to be able to 'die with dignity'.
But the couple, from Bedfont, west London, raised almost £1.4million so they could take their son to America but a series of courts ruled in favour of the British doctors.

It looks like the kid is FUBAR, but I don’t see the harm in trying. If nothing else, we may learn something from it.
As you say, their masters have decreed that they know best and god forbid we might have the doctors n the USA show up the third worlders they have imported into the UK.
they would have recovered regardless....
If you choose to believe in invisible beings that “sometimes maybe’ listen, be my guest.
In his diary that morning before the procedure, he wrote” God will look after me, everything will be fine”...
I guess God forgot to read it that morning...oh well.
I found your post gratuitous and unhelpful.
I'm guessing that the baby is hooked up to a bunch of monitors in the hospital, and they would have to unhook him and whisk him out, which is probably a crime of some sort. Plus, if he needs life-sustaining treatment to make the trip, they would have to have an American team on site to transfer the child from bedside to airport, etc. They couldn't do this without being seen or apprehended.
And going to heaven is what?
A loss somehow?
Depends on what your definition of *fine* is. If means living here on this earth longer, then I suppose not.
If it means getting to heaven, then yes, he’s fine and more than fine.
Just because God doesn’t perform the way you demand He does, doesn’t mean He doesn’t exist.
This is not the forum for evangelical atheism, islam, or any other satanic religions. You’re welcome to burn in hell if you choose, but Jim frowns on trying to drag FReepers down with you.
yeah so let me get this straight... God puts him here... to only live 14 years then die from a simple procedure so his parents can live their worst nightmare of losing their son... really??
If heaven is such a great place? why is no one rushing to get there??
they may as well have prayed to Stone Mnt... it did the same amount of good.
I dont seem to recall preaching anything to anyone... simply pointing out reality...
you are perfectly free to pray to whatever invisible beings you see fit!
You’re not pointing out reality. You can’t even face the fact that you are evangelizing for your religion of atheism. That’s the reality of the situation. You’ve chosen to go to hell, and you didn’t reason yourself into that choice. Yet you apparently think you can reason Christians into that choice. As though someone who knows Jesus Christ is going to give Him up, along with eternal salvation, because you’re preaching the superior intelligence of nothingness. LOL. Go to hell alone. You’re not likely to recruit any travelmates here.
maybe i should pray about it...

Prayers to God said!
SAD, SHOCKING AND SHAMEFUL. The government owns them. This is what single-payer health insurance can lead to. Hope we never get single payer in the U.S., but we might. We need to voice our opinion to our politicians, and let them know we NEVER want single-payer insurance here.
Hi, Sun!
Did you see the comments at Daily Mail? Single payer is a big problem, but the bigger problem is the people don’t value life. What’s worse, they’re not indifferent to it. They’re blood thirsty. They demand the death of this baby, even though the treatment won’t cost them anything. They will not suffer a brain injured person to live. This is their modern day witch hunt.
Is there a point to your post?
The European bureaucrats would rather fund the injection of Islam to rape their country and daughters. Sick mofus they are.
St. Gianna Molla, pray for these parents. And the baby too.
Glad to see this ping list again.
I agree.
“..but the bigger problem is the people dont value life. ..”
True, but we can’t change their cold hearts, but we can pressure our politicians to disallow single payer in our country.
And, of course, we must pray that these cold hearts will change in England, our country, and around the world.
