Married teacher arrested for having sex with teen student A married teacher was busted for allegedly raping a 16-year-old student as they carried on a romantic relationship, according to reports.
Lindsey Jarvis, 27, allegedly had sex with the underage boy when she worked as a social studies teacher at Woodford County Middle School in Kentucky, according to WKYT.
The victim told police that he slept with Jarvis, while his cellphone had evidence that he and the teacher were in a romantic relationship.

I get it although, I lived in Tennessee (next door to Kentucky and the brunt of similar “humor”), and I found the people in KY to be good people...very bright and moral...

Agreed. In years past I often traveled through KY. Of course this is anecdotal, but I always found them to be the kindest folks of any place I’d ever been.

I do recall a male teacher was fired or worse in my hometown for getting too up-close and personal with his female students...there may have been more than one...I believe he was married if that makes a difference...It was a big scandal...Frankly, I don’t think it happened nearly as often back in the day.
Oh, IMHO just because Newt did it does not make it OK and I think he should be ashamed not regaling it in some memoir...Just because no one was fired in past does not make it OK.
Of course boys and girls are different—sad if you think it justifies any teacher~male or female~taking advantage of an under-aged students. What if the woman teacher got pregnant? That OK?
Fact: this teacher committed adultery and rape of middle school student, and yet it seems that some are OK with it because either she is hot, Newt did it, no one got fired in the past, and/or boys and girls are different...
Glad my two boys did not have horny teachers who did not know where to draw the line.
