I do recall a male teacher was fired or worse in my hometown for getting too up-close and personal with his female students...there may have been more than one...I believe he was married if that makes a difference...It was a big scandal...Frankly, I don’t think it happened nearly as often back in the day.
Oh, IMHO just because Newt did it does not make it OK and I think he should be ashamed not regaling it in some memoir...Just because no one was fired in past does not make it OK.
Of course boys and girls are different—sad if you think it justifies any teacher~male or female~taking advantage of an under-aged students. What if the woman teacher got pregnant? That OK?
Fact: this teacher committed adultery and rape of middle school student, and yet it seems that some are OK with it because either she is hot, Newt did it, no one got fired in the past, and/or boys and girls are different...
Glad my two boys did not have horny teachers who did not know where to draw the line.
Guess this is yet another argument for home schooling!

God doesn't distinguish between men and women when addressing moral issues and He in no way condones it or winks at it if the people are good looking.
HE has the same penalty for sin no matter who does it and if it's wrong for a man with a young girl, it's wrong for a woman with a young boy no matter how much he wants it.
