recommends at least 60 minutes of moderate-to-vigorous physical activity a day for children ages 5 to 17.
How about FIVE hours a day like we used to do playing stick ball or street hockey or baseball or when we were younger cops and robbers or walking all over to get things for my aunt at the stores.
God it was great to be young!
Seems everyone had the same rule. Big City living!
Wish they'd design subdivisions with a basketball court and baseball diamond. Cheap and lasts forever....Enough with the Forever Wild...
Yes it was and oh to have the body and energy of a yute again. That’s the next life.
Yeah, but you didn't have to eat Michelle Obama lunches when you were a kid. Today's kids are probably too weak to do anything active after school lets out.
we were gone all day in the summer when I was under 17...swimming biking hiking etc
Today, if kids play or walk or ride their bicycles on the street unaccompanied by an adult, the police or Child Protective Services will be summoned and the parents will be in heap big trouble. I have even read of kids who got in trouble for playing, unsupervised by an adult, in their own back yards.
Better to sit your kid in front of a computer and have him play video games all day.
