I was 13 Years Old and had to work at my Father’s Gas Station on Saturdays to earn my “allowance”. I worked 7 to 7, or 7 to 10 if my Older Brother couldn’t give me a ride home. No, Child Labor Laws were never discussed. LOL
I was whining to a guy that worked for my Father because all my Friends were going Camping and I couldn’t go with them because I had to work.
My Father walked up behind me while I was pontificating the depths of my despair and I didn’t realize he was there until the guy I was talking to started looking over my shoulder with a weird look on his face...
That one comment alone probably sealed my fate as being a Conservative rather than a Liberal.
