If you've ever had an inexplicable love for a song that's just strange, post a link to it here. Should be amusing and entertaining for a Saturday night.
Wow. Great stuff, all three. Thanks.
Yoda-Weird Al. Ordinary Average Guy-Joe Walsh. Jungle Love-Morris Day. I’m Tired-Madeline Kahn in Blazing Saddles
Hollywood Argyles - Alley Oop
I’m sorry, I’m not following.
Surprisingly good sound quality on that Papa-Oom-Mow-Mow video, great stereo separation.
I remember the song well, it got a fair amount of airplay here in NC when I was a kid, especially popular at the beach.
I’m just a social underachiever
I think I left it all back with Leave It To Beaver
That was amazing, from an amazing mucian. I can’t really pin down why it brings this band to mind, but this entire album would likely qualify as weird in the estimation of most. It was highly influential in it’s day, though. Here’s a link to the entire album:
Polvo - Exploded Drawing
I suggest sliding over to the 20:28 mark and “Street Knowledge” to start. The opening track “Fast Canoe” is likely their best-known track, but none of this is particularly well-known outside of musical circles. “Passive Attack” sounds rather ancient like hammer dulcimer to me. There are Far East influences in this throughout, which in turn influenced a number of west coast bands despite this band being homegrown here in NC.
I bought this CD when it debuted in 1996 and still enjoy hearing it from time to time.
Do you have a poodle named Frenchie?
Weird Al Yankovic - Yoda (High Definition)
Joe Walsh - Ordinary Average Guy
Morris Day And The Time - Jungle Love (High Definition)
Madeline Kahn - I’m Tired (Blazing Saddles)
That was very cool, I’d heard The Tractors before, “Baby Likes To Rock It,” but I think I like this better.
Or, perhaps "mudshark",......... or maybe, "Suzie Creamcheese"? .... "Peaches en Regalia"?
Haven’t heard of them. British or American band? It’s telling a story I think, but I can’t figure out what’s the meaning lol? Yeah, creepy enough. I don’t listen to music often enough but when I do finding these days my tastes turn towards more off the beaten standard rock and pop path. Stuff like Fever Ray and Two steps from hell, which is more like movie soundtracks.
American.
Entire soundtrack of “Phantom of the Paradise”, “Gypsies, Tramps and Thieves” by Cher, “Werewolf” by 5 Man Electrical Band....
