Memorial Day weekend would seem like the best time for a big summer blockbuster to hit the theaters, but in recent years audiences have been focusing more on their tans and grillmaster skills over the holiday than going to a movie theater.
Past Memorial Day holiday weekend openings that were instant fails at the box office include: "Tomorrowland" ($33 million opening weekend), "Alice Through the Looking Glass" ($26.8 million), and "X-Men: Apocalypse" ($65.7 million). Now you can add two new releases from this year to that list.

Box office grosses are down 15% from last year. To be expected when Hollywood continues to churn out crappy sequels, reboots, and remakes. Only Guardians of the Galaxy 2 is doing well of the new releases. And not to mention all of the actors who alienated audiences with their political comments.

I wonder how much of the price of a movie ticket goes directly to funding pedophilia.

Sure, blame it on the holiday weekend. Or Trump. Or global warming.
Here, I could hardly drive down our street what with all the vacationers blocking the road a bit ago. There are a lot on the water but not as many as in the past so guess everyone is inside under the A/C and their noses stuck in their phones.

Doesn’t bother me none. If Wonder Woman tanks next weekend Hollywood will be in deep do-do.

Movies suck today. What we need is more superhero movies and remakes. When are they going to remake the Godfather for crying out loud or Casablanca? Or even Citizen Kane? All these movies need to be remade. They should even remake all the remake movies that just came out, like the King Kong remake that came out this year, they shouldn't have even released that, they should have made 5 more remakes and released the remake of the remake of the remake of the remake of the remake.

This is one of the ways to fight back against the left. Hit the lefties in Hollyweird in the pocketbook. Don’t waste any more of your hard earned money on the filth and crap they put on the big screen!

Every other week or so my wife and I like to go eat dinner at a Mexican place and then go to a movie. We like the mindlessness of an action movie with Vin Deisel or an avenger movie. It’s just a fun night out together. This has been a regular thing for 34 years.
For the past month we’ve struggled to find a movie we “want” to see.
This is usually high time for releases. This year they are all dogs.
I don’t think there has been an original thought out of Hollywood in years.

Speaking of ticket prices, $40 bucks for a family of 4. Double that for snacks. Ridiculous.

Every decade or so, Hollywood comes up with a plot to get people to return to movie theaters. Well made movies that don't lecture or present an agenda or substitute quality and excellence with over-the-top special effects and mind-numbing violence. That's what will get traditional movie goers to return.
Now, even when there might be an occasional such movie, it gets next to no publicity or screens. Meanwhile, the latest movie about comic book characters blowing each other up can have six screens!

Made for around $200 million (counting marketing), it looks like the movie is doing better overseas, with it taking over $200 million worldwide...
They’re far from down and out.
And they’ll make a bundle with Wonder Woman next week.
Too bad.
I’d love to see Hollywood sink but they would stay open at a loss to get their political views across.
Just like the MSM
