Barbra Streisand is mourning the loss of her beloved dog, Sammie.
The 75-year-old star announced the news on her social media accounts Saturday, saying we cherish every moment of the 14 years we had with her. [ ]
Streisand once told British newspaper The Independent Sammie is like the daughter I never had.

And this is news? My girl died after almost fourteen years of companionship and never even made the local news.
“Big girl panties?”
That’ll never happen!
LIEberals are incapable of adult thought or behavior!
My dogs are important to me. Crazy but I see them as friends. Steisand isn’t in the same world as me politically, but I can feel for her hurting over her dog.

Misty water colored memories, of the way I flush
Thank you Yaelle. My husband loved this dog dearly too. It seems so empty now without Piper.
Thank you. When we are older and our kids are gone our dogs are much more than dogs. We all understand that. :)
The pattern is funny but unmistakable:
more the person admonishes that he is an egalitarian the more you will see all kinds of snobby, hierarchical tendencies.
Sometimes if you work at a good company making good money:
somebody gets up at a gathering during a speech and sactimoniosly says:
“you know....it’s NOT about the money..!”
you know at that very instant that for that person it’s ALL about the money, always.
The few people who really, really mean that won’t make a big deal about it or they’ll never make that claim.
“Last dog we had was an Australian Cattle Dog, and she got really sick at age 9 and had to be put to sleep.”
Sorry about that. Putting a pet to sleep is so painful.
I have a puppy who is an Australian Cattle Dog. He is the sweetest, most gentle baby.
He even oinks like a pig at times. Adorable.
Mine, too. Such a bereavement is often more painful than a human bereavement. I have suffered it before and I know. Right now I have two wonderful dogs, the older being eleven and the other, six. I dread the day when either passes. My sympathy goes out to her even though I loathe her politics.
I forgot how long it has been, but after a certain time it might just be a good thing to think about a new puppy or rescue dog... one can never replace, but a new pet can brighten the home once more.
So true. The snobbiest people pretend to worship the working class but disdain them. The people who tell everyone how smart they are, aren’t.
I know how it feels
It sucks
I sobbed at 58 years old
First time in my adult life
The shock....
Babs actually birthed a son I think
Hard to believe a fembot harridan birthing....
Sometimes we can forget that even those on the wrong side of the political divide are also people who love their spouses, kids, pets, etc. When remembering our common attributes, our chances of connecting with them and showing them the truth increases.
LOWER PERSONS are the Left's cannon fodder.
James Brolin died?
Poor dog is in a MUCH better place. Pooch served far too long in Purgatory.
Wonder what fools were depraved enough, self loathing enough, to have copulated with BS.
Much as I love dogs, this is hardly news.
