It’s the suffering of animals that gets me.

We humans, we can learn and grow from our suffering, but a dog, all it knows is the pain.

I could forgive a human for hurting me, I could never forgive them for hurting a dog unnecessarily.

To be completely fair, one of the most despicable humans to ever become a Senator... was instrumental in helping her adopt Rex.

I speak of no other than the miserable scumbag known as Chuck Schumer.

a friend has a cattle farm.
Took my Aussie there and played tree golf with him.
(Whoever hits that tree way over there in the least hits gets to call the next tree)
Nova rounds up the 18 cows a d moves them around with us as we hit and move.
Too funny.

When my Aussie boy was young he would herd a basketball with his nose from one end of the yard to the other, as long as I would let him. I finally had to take the ball away- he rubbed his nose on that ball until it was raw and almost bloody. He lives to play.

It’s not well known, but the US military has experimented with “War Cats”.

They tried using them to climb trees to look for snipers.

The problem was that the cat would go up the tree and instead of shouting, “Hey! There’s a sniper up here!”, he’d say, “Meow! Meow! Meow!”, and nobody knew what that meant.

I have cried for a cat, and a number of dogs.

I cried when I lost my dad, a lot, even though we didn’t get along. I thought I would be happy when he was gone, but I was wrong.

I cried for my grandma, his mom, when she died. She was a good woman, and she died a violent death by car accident. She didn’t deserve to go that way. That was sad.

But when I lost my shepherd of 14 years, Grainger, it split me in half. I looked in his eyes as he was put down. That was harder than anything ever.

Grown man bawlin’ like a child. Couldn’t even help it. Damn, I love that dog.

Looks like a good movie, but I don’t know if I can bear to watch it. Maybe it will help me with my overly aggressive Golden Retriever who is flunking out of obedience school and who everybody wants me to give up on.

I know, I know. Golden Retrievers are “easy”, but not this one. He’s 9 months old and a challenge every day. He is willful, disobedient, aggressive, strong, and I hate to admit that my husband and I are really too old to have him. I love him, despite all of the naughty things he does. I have hope that he’ll calm down eventually.

First I heard of this movie! Thanks for posting.

My (age 5-12), fist family dog family dog was a German Shepherd named REX!

I LOVE Kate Mara! It’s unlikely there will be any scenes of Kate like there were in “Shooter”, but I can hope.

Kate Mara is a knockout! https://www.pinterest.com/pin/407786941238729029/

Have you had blood work done? Could be some kind of hormonal imbalance. In less than 5 months our dog went from perfectly healthy to very sick. The cause, low thyroid.

No. I just keep blaming ourselves because we are older and not giving this animal enough play time. No kids in the house. I’ll ask the vet at our next visit. He became markedly worse after he was neutered. Friends all have small dogs, so no play time.

My obedience program allows no interaction with other dogs. NONE. Recently we’ve been allowing him short periods off leash, and he’s much better. I think he has the potential of becoming a very fine dog/companion, but he’s not making it easy. He’s my 3rd Golden, so I’m not inexperienced. I’m eagerly looking forward to that 2 year mark when they begin to calm down — if we make it that long! LOL

Thx much, but I am going to spend a lot of time thinking about it before I adopt another animal.

I lost my favorite cat, Rooster, in 2015 and it damned near killed me.

I would love a dog.

They are great friends but they steal your heart.

Am nervous about another broken heart.;-)

Get a full PCR/DNA tick panel and thyroid test run.

I’ll bet a dollar on it.

I don’t know how he could have ticks. It has been the dead of winter around here until recently and he’s on protective meds. He’s only 9 months old and does not spend a lot of time outdoors. Maybe thyroid.
