Gov. Cuomo called on President Trump Sunday to provide emergency assistance to remedy the intolerable situation at Penn Station that will create a summer of agony.
Earlier this month, executives from Amtrak, which has operational control over Pain Station, said they would shut down tracks for extended periods over the next year to repair long-neglected infrastructure.

Who did the neglecting?.......Oh, I dunno. The Unions?
Who runs the train station? Who owns it? Who allocates the budget for day to day operations , as well as repair and maintenance ??....Just consolidate that to”Who pays for Amtrac? Taxpayers.
The city tore down a gorgeous old building that made Grand Central look like a dump and replaced it with a real dump. Narrow stairways, broken elevators and escalators, filthy bathrooms and post-Guiliani they let the homeless back inside and outside. Meanwhile, the population who uses the dump grows and grows causing horrible congestion that one day will lead to disaster.
I use Penn Station on a regular basis and it will not improve if Trump gives them a billion dollars. It will simply line the pockets of thieves within the city and state administrations and, Amtrak and the Port Authority.
At $20 for a round trip to New Jersey (versus $4 for a round trip on Megabus to DC...if you get a ticket early), it’s difficult to see why NY would have trouble paying for ANYTHING regarding Penn Station.
...unless their $200k unionized ‘conductors’ are eating up their revenue.
Twice the scumbag than his brother!
Close down NY except for pedestrians and cyclists. Only use buses for mass transportation. NO CARS!!!!!
They need funding for their sanctuary city.
No sympathy. They had a magnificent station, one of the largest and most magnificent public spaces in the world, but they tore it down 50 years ago because It wasn't modern. Typical New York arrogance—destroy any idea or social grace that wasn't invented last week:
The main waiting room, inspired by the Roman Baths of Caracalla, was the largest indoor space in the city a block and a half long with vaulted glass windows soaring 150 feet over a sun-drenched chamber. Beyond that, trains emerged from bedrock to deposit passengers on a concourse lit by an arching glass and steel greenhouse roof.—The Destruction of Penn StationThis may sound unfamiliar for present-day residents of New York City, who know Penn Station as a miserable subterranean labyrinth.

Exactly, the ABP Nazis pay me $1.50 for everyone that I discover.
Trump ought to hand Prince Andrew of Albany a can of Rock Star.
It was nasty 60 years ago ...
Why is it nasty? Who made it into a cesspool? Inquiring minds need to know.

DIMs/LIBs ruin cities then expect others to pay for their perfidy. They should go **** themselves.
I'm a NYC commuter but since I come from Connecticut, I'm blessed in that I get to come into Grand Central every day. The Metro North does a very good job. It's almost always on time and very rarely are there any delays. I do pay $388 a month to ride it though (not including parking at the Westport station which is another $325 a year.
Below is what I see twice every day. And my office is just across the street.
I’d tell Sfachim Junior to take a hike, if the money allocated from fares and tolls went to infrastructure like it was supposed to instead of politician pockets, transgender Muslim happy hug tests, and programs designed to perpetuate poverty the money to maintain Penn station would be there.
Cuomo has two chances of getting the money. Slim and none.
Now, well, it's great. We go once in a while (off-peak). We catch the local train (LIRR), and several cold ones (poured into 20 oz. coffee cups) later, we're there. First stop, the famous Penn Station bathrooms. Not a problem, off peak (no lines). Second stop, Rosa's. Grab a slice and a few tall boys to go, head up the stairs, and enjoy the best City in The World!
I feel for the daily commuters. I don't know how they do it.
Turn it into a Federal ICE holding facility.
Dear Gov Cuomo,
Regarding your transportation concerns, please piss up a rope while pounding sand.
Amazing what fares and tax money can accomplish.
