Mark Shaw, the former legal analyst for USA Today, CNN, and USA Today brings a new light on who killed one of the most powerful new journalist of her time, Dorothy Kilgallen . Dorothy after interviewing the infamous Jack Ruby after he killed Lee Harvey Oswald walked away from that interview with the truth and before she could reveal who killed Judy, the same fate happened to her. Listen to this interview and hear how the JFK case could reopen and be solved through Dorothy Kilgallen's legacy
“And there is no doubt about Oswald shooting officer Tippet. Thats not something an innocent person would do.”
I agree, there is the JFKassassinationforum.com ; one of the participants is an expert on the Tippit assassination. Any real debate can go to him, Bill Brown, who firmly believes Oswald killed Tippit. He is well versed, Warren Report defender. I agree, without looking it all up, most people don’t deny Oswald shot Tippit.
In general to all:
One of the “women on the stairs” which is the name of the book discussing the women Oswald must not have seen in running down the stairs to escape became a teacher at my grade school in Dallas, of course, I never met her. It must have been before I started going to school there.

Looks like it is only “the girl on the stairs” and she didn’t see Oswald; these writers figure out every angle.
Dorothy Kilgallen was part of New York’s café society. At the Stork Club she would rub elbows with all manner of VIPs and celebrities. She knew the boxing great Barney Ross who was one of the greatest pound for pound champions of all time. Ross also received the Silver Star for his combat roles in Guadalcanal.
Barney Ross grew up with his fellow Jewish-American Jack Ruby. Ross and Ruby were the same age and were lifelong friends. Ross knew Ruby better than anybody and understood his eccentric ways. Kilgallen probably got more cooperation from Ruby because of Ross. But Ross also knew that Ruby was not a hit man for the mob and was too much of a loose cannon to be controlled by anybody.
One day my Mom called me to her bedroom, she was listening to Kilgallen, who had a radio show on WOR. A few days before Kilgallen, on her show decried the fact that there were no Waffle ice cream cones anymore. Well, Mom promptly went to the store bought some and sent them to her. I remember her saying how surprised she was and thanked Mom, who sat there beaming. A precursor to today’s talk radio.
Jack Ruby did not have only 6 months to live when he shot Oswald.
Ruby killed Oswald November 24, 1963.
Ruby died January 3, 1967.
Ruby died more than 3 years after killing Oswald.
Bennet Cerf.
IIRC WML was on Sunday night at 10 or 10:30. Late for a school night, The panel wasn’t picked because they were shy or handsome but because they were NY intellectuals. Cerf was a witty guy and wrote funny stuff in the style New Yorker Magazine. They would have a guest panelist like Steve Allen who was no slouch in the brain department.
Kitty Carlisle was actually in a number of movies.
“...of course, ALL the material she had from the Ruby interviews completely disappeared once her NYC apartment was searched after her death.”
Who searched the apartment?
I just can’t buy one lone nut (Oswald) killing JFK then a second independent lone nut (Ruby) killing the first lone nut...
Good Question...you should read the book...I did.
Fascinating, what did not happen that one would think would be SOP for a murder/suicide investigation.
I’ve heard the scope might have even been crooked or dodgey though on that rifle.

From where he bought the rife:
When they held the rifle up [on the news], I about fell through the floor, Sharp recalls of the night of Nov. 22, 1963. “An $11 rifle?”
The rifle Oswald had reportedly chosen to use and bought under an alias was a cheap Italian model, Sharp said. The 6.5 mm Carcano, a military-grade rifle, was not expensive to make and therefore, very popular among consumers.
It was a piece of junk, Sharp said. Knowing that the warehouse on West Madison in Chicago sold much higher quality guns, Sharp was shocked at Oswalds choice and at his success. If you want good optics, you dont buy them for three dollars [an estimate].

It was also first reported that the rifle was a mauser:

I could be wrong but I think, the Dallas Police Department did a competent job in the investigation but I also think that a crime of this magnitude back in 1963 was overwhelming and that they were probably unprepared.
Why is Judy important to this story?
“Why is Judy important to this story?”
The story says that Judy was killed.
Now I know why Cary Grant kept saying “Judy,Judy,Judy!”
Was Dorothy Kilgallen Murdered Before Revealing Who Killed JFK?
John Daly was the son-in-law of Chief Justice Earl Warren.
Ask any E-7, O-4 or GS-12 in intelligence who did it and you’d get a pretty good list of the whole team. Or at least that was true in my day. Even know which airport they used and the type of aircraft. About as “secret” as the Zimmerman letter.
He pulled a trigger, perhaps the only one, but who set him up?
I think it was Castro returning the favor for Kennedy plotting to assassinate him.
IMHO, the proof would be re-normalizing relations the moment the last Castro plotter dies....
