Jerusalem, Israel — April 24, 2017 … Is the Holocaust really over?
We know that Adolph Hitler committed suicide with a bullet to the head. We know that US and Russian troops liberated concentration camps including Bergen-Belsen, Buchenwald, Dachau, Sobibor, Treblinka and Auschwitz-Birkenau. That Jews were hung, shot and gassed to death. That their bodies were disposed in mass graves and in ovens.
We know that war crime trials were held in Nuremberg, Germany during 1945 and 1946. Judges from the Allied powers—Great Britain, France, the Soviet Union, and the United States—presided over the hearings of twenty-two major Nazi criminals. Twelve prominent Nazis were sentenced to death.
So, is the Holocaust really over?
The Holocaust, also referred to as the Shoah, was a genocide in which some six million European Jews were murdered. It began with a simple boycott of Jewish shops, racist hate speech and symbols of hate that were used to recruit and expand the numbers of those in the Nazi political party or as otherwise known as the National Socialist German Workers’ Party.
If the Holocaust is truly over then why do we still have thousands of people using the same Nazi hate speech, boycotts and symbols in 2017?
Like malignant cancer, you are not rid of it until each and every cell has been destroyed.
Yet today we permit Neo-Nazis to use the same hate speech and symbols against Jews. One only has to look at newspaper photos of destroyed Jewish graves with Nazi swatchkas painted over them, Nazi pamphlets distributed at colleges and in Jewish communities, Nazi symbols placed on New York City subway walls.
Or delve into social media, Facebook and Twitter where one can witness an abundance of Nazi hate speech, cartoons, videos and threats of placing Jews into ovens.
A recent example of the spread of Nazi, Alt-Right cancer was when Andrew Anglin, publisher of the largest hate website in the United States – The Daily Stormer, targeted a Jewish family in Whitefish, Montana.
Anglin was upset by false rumors that a white supremacist, Nazi party leader by the name of Richard Spencer had his mother attacked by a Jew in Whitefish. Anglin, a well-known neo-Nazi operating out of Ohio, then asked thousands of his followers to “take action” against Tanya Gersh. What resulted were hundreds of death threats towards Tanya, her children and her husband. These threats quickly spread to other Jews who reside in Montana.
Tanya received more than 700 harassing messages, including death threats, and a message on Twitter to her son suggesting that he pursue a free Xbox located inside an oven.
The Gersh family was forced to leave Whitefish for a few weeks as Anglin even called for an armed march in Whitefish, a march that would end at Gersh’s home.
Today, Tanya Gersh is no longer able to work and attends trauma therapy twice a week. It wasn’t a physical bullet, a hangman’s noose or gas that took Tanya down, but rather an emotional assault that attacked her through phone calls, text messages, malicious Christmas cards, tourist pamphlets from other states and Internet messages.
“You will be driven to the brink of suicide. & We will be there to take pleasure in your pain & eventual end,” one message said.
The Southern Poverty Law Center filed a lawsuit last week against the publisher of the popular Neo-Nazi, alt-right website, claiming that he orchestrated a “terror campaign” against a Jewish woman in Montana.
The lawsuit asserts that Andrew Anglin is liable to Gersh for invading her privacy, for inflicting emotional distress upon her and for violating the Montana Anti-Intimidation Act, in an amount of more than $75,000 for each count.
Will this lawsuit place an end to Nazi threats against Jews in the United States?
The answer is no.
Richard Spencer, the president of the National Policy Institute, his mentor – former KKK leader David Duke and Andrew Anglin use free speech laws to hide behind. They have created ties with leaders of the BDS (Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions) movement.
Opposition to Israel and anti-Semitic attitudes have served as the bridge for partnerships between members of Neo-Nazi and BDS groups in Europe, including in Hungary, where the far-right and anti-Semitic Jobbik party has forged an alliance with Iran and Hezbollah officials.
The United Kingdom recently acted against Neo-Nazi groups, recognizing that their hate speech, marches and threats constituted acts of terror. The British neo-Nazi group National Action was labelled a terror organization and banned in a landmark first for the UK.
Why has US Congress failed to act against seeds of Nazi hate in the United States? Do we really believe that the racist hate which created the Holocaust is gone and buried?
Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu said yesterday that the allies could have saved 4 million Jews had they taken action. Is Congress going to ignore Jews today as they did during the Holocaust?
Why is it that if you support ISIS the FBI will arrest you but if you support Hitler who killed 200,000 US troops – it’s free speech!
Until Neo-Nazis in the United States are designated as terrorists, the shadows of the Holocaust will remain.

We have a little bunch of Nazis, Neo-Nazis, Alt-Right anti-semites, and a few Holocaust denials (aka Delusional assholes). So what? They’ve been around for over 75 years and will be for the next 75.
One case of a Jewish family harassed by a psycho is not a “holocaust” even if it might have involved violence. The “panic” of “rising anti-Semitism” is being promulgated by the leftist led ADL (Greenblatt, an Obamite) as though it was 1933 all over again.
When broken down into caught culprits, you find all kinds of sickos from one Jewish-American/Israeli, black extremists, white extremists and Moslem extremists, yet the total number of those caught is probably less than a dozen or two since some are multiple-case suspects (the guy in Israel made over a 100 calls or emailed threats but he was just ONE PERSON).
If you take the constant anti-Semitism of the Black Lives Matters movement, of the Farrakhan Nation of Islam, of the communists of Rev.Com (Revolutionary Communist Party) - maoist; the BDS (Boycott, Divestment & Sanctions) movement of self-hating Jews, a few, Arabs, Arab-Americans, Moslems esp. students SJP, black extremists, some of whom are also Marxists; the pro-Palestine movement in general; the ISIS wannabes; and communist/Marxist organizations in general, THEN YOU HAVE THE REAL ANTI-SEMITE THREATS TO JEWS IN THE US.
This is not to deny that the Nazi cultists are not a direct threat, they are, but the police have a pretty good idea who they are and what they are up to.
Can’t say the same for the Red Bloc/Black Bloc of street psychopaths/anarchists who are now moving, unopposed by the police/campus police for the most part, onto our Marxist/black extremist/Moslem extremist dominated campuses.
Jews can no longer exercise their right of “free speech” on most major campuses of the US and esp. on the smaller “liberal” (aka “fascist” or “Marxist”) ones that populate the country like a bad ass rash.
I went through this crap in the late 60’s when at least some fraternities and just plain fed-up folk took on SDS when their administrations caved in like a soggy ice-cream cone. I saw this first hand. Pathetic.
Now the administrators are the apologists for the rabble, and some of their staff are actually the violence-generators during various riots.
As a Jewish American I say, pay attention to acts of anti-Semitism, acts of hatred against blacks, Asians, Moslems, Christians (i.e. Hobby Lobby, cakemakers, etc) but don’t make anti-Semitism the sole focus of this Far-Left, Far-Right violence movement.
We need to take both movements out through arrests, conviction and long jail sentences. We won’t get all of the bastards but if you get the leaders and sentence them to at least 10 years (no parole), then many of their less than enthusiastic followers will melt away, hopefully to A Jonestown or Heavens Gate fate.
Vigilance is one of our best weapons. You must know who your enemies are, be willing to help law enforcement with information, films, photos, etc., and speak out when you can.
It is time to squash the “HateMongers of the Left and Right”.

This hurts this publication more than helps. I am familiar with the story. The woman in this case was threatening bad publicity if the mother didn't force-sell to her for a good price, so, basically, we have Nazis versus a Jewish individual who was trying to extort someone. How's that help Gersh or this article's argument? Same thing with the claim about "rampant hate crimes" being committed against Jews. Most of the examples given have been proven to be hoaxes. This paper strategically did not mention the the hundreds of bomb threats that were previously being reported as the biggest Trump related anti-Jewish hate crime in years. The result was that a Jewish teenager--who happened to be running a multi-million dollar forged document ring from his basement with the help of his father--was outed by the FBI as being responsible for the calls.
What this writer basically wants is to invent a Neo-Nazi menace that does not exist in order to attack first amendment rights in the United States. Next thing you know, we'll be at the mercy of neurotic people like the Presidents of the ADL or the SPLC who insist that basically anyone who isn't left of Mao is an anti-semite.
I would say that right now Muslims are a much more deadly threat to the existence of Israel and other Western countries than the Nazis right now. I would say there’s no comparison. I would also say I don’t understand why liberal Americans, including liberal American Jews keep making believe Muslims are not a problem but that we Trump voters are.
The article has a point. But I notice how they find one “alt-right” jerk and that’s about it. Meanwhile, half the college campuses have huge anti-Jew movements, physically harass and attack jews, and run around weekly like Brownshirts. Tens of thousands of them across the campuses.

It's not "one case of a Jewish family" - hundreds of Jews in the US are being attacked as you read this. Every time Richard Spencer posts an attack on Jews, he secures between 400 - 800 likes.
There are over 10,000 Neo-Nazis in the United States.
the article asks why if you’re associated with Isis do you get arrested and not if you’re associated with me neo Nazis. I would think that’s because we are at war with ISIS right now. That’s just a guess. This is one of the most overhyped articles I’ve read in a long long time.
if you want to talk about the Democrats as the biggest threat to Jews since the Holocaust, and then you are on to something.
And everyone on the right loathes anyone jew hating on our behalf. We actively support and give friendship Israel in our churches. We take tours of Israel as a friend.
The left encourages jew hatred, and funds it from a former Nazi named Soros. They write articles about it, create facebook pages. They support the modern Nazis of Islam.

They can’t do that, college campuses are where neo-nazis are found. A law aimed at criminalizing such speech would directly impact the democrats, not the conservatives they pretend it would.
Twitter posts are not a legitimate measure of anti-semitism, and, in either case, we aren't going to grant the ADL President dictator-like powers just because of people making comments on twitter that hurt the collective feelings of mostly left wing Jews with an ulterier motive.

I have faced off against Jihadists online. Neo-Nazis have much larger numbers. Your minimizing this real threat speaks volumes .....
We don’t have the political perfect storm of WWII here. Without that, there is persecution but no Shoah. Sometimes maximization also speaks volumes.
Jihadists stand fairer to take over a whole country than any kind of Nazi. Himmler was almost satanic and looking at a very spiritually weak and demoralized landscape. However unlike Islam his philosophy wasn’t geared to picking apart a stronger society. People know not to fall for Nazism. Islam has deceiving charms. Don’t let yesteryear’s folly blind to today’s danger.
