Steve Bannon is revealing just how little he cares for Megyn Kelly by going on the record in a new interview to detail how he warned Roger Ailes about his then star anchor. The White House Chief Strategist is the focus of a Politico story which examines how President Trump managed to fracture the conservative media during his campaign, and ultimately ended up pitting Bannon, then the executive editor of Breitbart, against Ailes, then the CEO of Fox News.

Trump managed to fracture the conservative media...
Er, no. He managed to show what most of us here knew. Fox neocon cheap labor news channel with a few bright spots.
Saying Fox was conservative is like saying I only need to lose 10 pounds.
Bleach blonds, lots of cleavage and hiked skirts is only asking for trouble in the long run.
That is one of the reasons Trump needs to keep him close
Fox News hasn’t been watchable in more than a decade... this past election cycle was just more of the same...
There was a time Fox News had some of the best folks in the business... along with a bunch of partisan hacks.... Brit Hume at one point was beyond reproach as probably the best political reporter on Broadcast TV...
This past cycle though, it was clear from the top down that agenda was being pushed over reporting to a degree never seen before, even on Fox.
Fox Business was the best coverage by far last cycle, and CNN was even better than Fox News, as hard as that is to fathom for anyone who watched Fox News in its prime.
Agreed 100%
How is the old girl doing at her new digs?
The venom with which she spewed at Trump with her first question underscores his point. Her goal was to set the tone for the media treatment of him and his campaign, if not take him out in a matter of hours.
If this isn’t fake news, I question whether it’s a good idea for Mr. Bannon to go “on the record”. Especially with Politico.
The President’s advisors should only be talking to the President. He’s the one that’s responsible for going “on the record”. Staff should be seen and not heard.
IMO.
Why do you state he did, then contradict the statement?
I’m sorry, I usually start off my posts with a quote from the article.
The ... is supposed to convey that. I apologize.
Bleach blondes with cleavage are fine. What is under the hair ( brain), and behind the breast( heart) is what matters. There may be an evil lizards underneath Kelly’s skin, but some of the others are good ladies.
Trump’s answer (”Only Rosie O’Donnell”) totally defused that whole character assassination attempt by making a joke of it. And let’s face it, from that comment everyone’s mind was picturing Rosie and thinking “well, he had a point” instead of some poor struggling single moms like Megyn wanted them to.
Totally agree, FNC is the media arm of the Republican Party and Chamber of Crony Commerce with a few exceptions. I ended up on Fox Business Channel election night, FNC was just as bad as CNN or PMSNBC.
Trump exposed just how far left FNC really is and smoked out the cockroaches on the channel: Hume, the Kraut, Will, Smith, etc...
I don’t know how much folks like Hume or Kraut were cockroaches as much as they were clearly given marching orders from higher ups.
As I said, at one time Hume was by far the best political reporter on TV.
It was clear to me that everyone on air had marching orders, and the truth and “reporting” be damned.
I always thought he did an excellent job answering that question/attack. Showed great presence of mind under extraordinary stressful circumstances.
Not true journalists, they got smoked out of the woodwork for what they are.
