Its a long game. The deep state needs to weaken Russia. Russia insists on its own culture, language, religion, borders and ability to act unilaterally, as a nation.
These are things that all nations used to believe, but are to be abolished under the utopian dreams of progressives, statists, and globalists working under the banner of the US Dollar.
The fact that Russia is a european power, makes them and their position even more of a threaten.

Trump has no intention of going to war with Russia. This was a surgical strike aimed at showing Assad a “displeasure” for using chemical weapons and that it will happen again if he and Russia use such weapons again. People knee jerk over something like this to a point that they begin building bomb shelters and hoarding food then dig out their “terrorist” binoculars to look terrorists in the neighborhood all the while dodging bullets from our own American gangsters. Ugh.
