Trumps recent strike on Syria seems to have surprised many of us. Which of the following is your position?
A. President Trump was right to attack Syria for the gas attacks. B. I wish Trump did not attack Syria.
I have to say B. Unless there is good intel indicating that a Syrian plane dropped a chemical munition. Otherwise I have my suspicions that this was by ISIS (not unlike a “fake hate crime” except much worse) and we have been played.
LOL! Trump just earned the support of Schumer, Pelosi and Hillary Clinton and you're telling me to go back to DU!
Please tell us the facts that Trump had when he ordered this missile attack....
A. Hell yes! This plays on so many levels; it was one of the most for the money attacks ever.
B. Syria is fighting the Islamic State.
I support President Trump in this, because what you see on the surface is just a small fraction of what is going on here.
1) This was done *during* a visit by Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the Communist Party of China. The message was crystal clear: either they take care of their North Korean fat boy or we will. While we haven’t acted in past, he gets ever more belligerent with nuclear weapons and long range ballistic missiles. Stop him, or we will. No more delays.
2) From World War I, the prohibition against the use of chemical weapons was an absolute. Brezhnev stockpiled a huge amount to use against NATO, and the US paid the Russians a fortune to destroy it. By ignoring chemical weapons use in the Iran-Iraq War (1980-1988), the beast was let out of the cage in the Middle East. Obama’s spinelessness when Assad used chemical weapons to kill 1,500 people has now *forced* President Trump to send a very precise message to the Syrian Air Force.
“You used these weapons, so we blew your air base to smithereens. So don’t do it ever again.”
3) The Russians now assume that they can bully the US out of the region by sending in a cruiser to watch over and maybe attack our destroyers if they do anything else. But what *isn’t* seen is far more important. Submarines in the area.
US subs, Russian subs, Iranian subs, Egyptian subs, Israeli subs, Italian subs. Maybe even some other “players”. The eastern Mediterranean is getting downright crowded.
4) The message has been sent. The US doesn’t need to do anything else, assuming nobody else does something stupid.
yep...You got it...
Yes!
A
It seems more likely to me that he’s being played by Deep State.
How do you know he didn’t? How do you know you ever will?
I totally agree....B and a thousand times B.
ISIS troops...errr I mean the moderates opposing Al Assad said that Syrian dropped chemical weapons in 2012. Moderate USUS...I mean ISIS fighters said it again. McCain says they did it, Paisley Graham says they did it even Hillary Clinton says they did it...They did not do it, I would bet all I have on it.
I am thinking they found some serious blackmail material on Bannon and Trumps family finally. Susan Rice is off the front pages permanently, and the D’s will no longer talk of the Putin/Trump “love affair”. That is the direct payoff.
“...Trump just earned the support of Schumer, Pelosi and Hillary Clinton...”
When this “support” from those you mentioned continues day after day, I’ll apologize...Until their unwavering support is shown, I stand by my comment...
Uh....There’s a difference between YOU not having all of the facts and Trump not having all of the facts.

A- We need a show of force after 8 yrs of obastard.
“As with most everything Trump has said or done since becoming President, some in here have jumped straight to conclusion without waiting...Just about every time, he has been shown to be correct....”
I was thinking that just this morning. People are overcomplicating this one. The purpose is to stop the escalation of use of WMD.
B. I don’t much care how Muslim assholes kill each other. Gassing is bad, but so is sawing off heads with knives and burning people alive.
The fact that the world universally has outlawed chemical weapons and it's time to make a stand that we will do more than send Assad into time out is high time.
