In my 50 Years of "Star Trek" The original Series - My Sweet 16 and 50 Years of "Star Trek" The original Series - My Bottom Feeder Four I got the juices flowing--
So as we wave bye to... the original "Star Trek"
Here are my "Star Trek: The Next Generation"... Sweet Seventeen Best Episodes:
I had to view this 6 times to catch all the details.
She used sex as a means to have sex.
while being raped
Good list. I didn’t like “In Theory” or “The Most Toys” that much.
“Fistful of Datas” reminded me of “Spectre of the Gun”.
Not a fan of the Moriarty ones.
Loved “Cause and Effect”, “Inner Light”,
Of the ones you mentioned
I really like “The Most Toys” and to think the guest villain was originally supposed to be another actor (who sadly tried to kill himself and succeed in another attempt).
“Rascals” is a guilty pleasure. Silly but enjoyable.
“Relics” was easily the best original series crossover, after DS9’s “Trials and Tribble-ations”.
Some I’ll mention, “The Best of Both Worlds”, my only problem was the ending, Riker declining a promotion again and again was silly.
They should have followed through on an idea they had and promoted him out, making Data First Officer and having Riker’s transporter clone take over his spot (keeping Frakes on the show).
“Parallels” with Worf hopping though alternate realities is a favorite of mine.
Trying to pick the best episodes of Star Trek TNG is something like trying to pick the best moldy orange for a snack. The series was horrible. Captain Jean-Luc Picard was a wuss. Heck, Captain Janeway was twice the man he was.
Star Trek original was the best (and I was always in love with Mr. Spock, even as a kid seeing Star Trek for the first time), followed by Voyager and Deep Space Nine. Enterprise was okay, nothing special. And TNG does not belong on the list, being the “black sheep” of the whole Star Trek franchise.
Picard is shocked when a highly respected starship captain apparently turns renegade and begins destroying Cardassian vessels. Captain Maxwell claims that the Cardassians, who recently signed a treaty with the Federation, are secretly rearming for war. Unfortunately, he has no proof. Picard demands that MaxwellTransporter Chief O'Brien's former commanding officersurrender his ship, but Maxwell refuses. Reluctant to fire on a fellow officer, Picard asks O'Brien to convince his old comrade to surrender peacefully.
Then there are the three episodes surrounding Picard Arbitrating the Klingon leadership sucession and resulting civil War.
Season 4, Episode 7 "Reunion"
Season 4, Episode 26, Season 5, Episode 1 "Redemption"
