It is hard to overestimate the damage the Freedom Caucus has done to the fledgling presidency of Donald Trump, and to the country. By blocking the American Health Care Act of 2017, the conservative group has guaranteed that Americans will struggle forward under the burden of Obamacare. In the next few months insurers will announce their premium hikes for the coming year; chances are, given the continuing withdrawal of major companies from the marketplaces and the ongoing failure of the bill to attract enough young and healthy participants, the new rates will not be pretty. Last year premiums went up 25%; its likely the increases will be higher this year.
Republicans will own those higher rates. Their failure to repeal the financial underpinnings of Obamacare and start replacing that failing program with an approach that encourages competition and that embodies numerous other common sense reforms will mean that families hit by ever-higher costs will blame the GOP. Voters elected Donald Trump and a GOP Congress to get this job done the number one promise of every Republican campaign since 2010...

Conservative.
here’s what i think:
The enemedia and RINO NeverTrump articles about this so-called “failure” are all delusional, and the best part is that they actually believe their own delusions.
I heard President Trump say a few weeks ago that his administration wouldnt be addressing obamacare repeal and replace until late 2017 to early 2018 (basically when obamacare would be facing complete collapse), so I cant wait to watch these fools freak the F out when his administration introduces a REAL repeal and replace bill 9 months from now.
As far as President Trump was concerned, RyanCare was nothing but a red herring intended to take Paul Ryan out of all future equations about everything.
RyanCare was a real abortion of a bill, written by the insurance companies who were the only ones who were going to benefit from its passage. The insurance companies clearly had this bill already in hand, and I feel certain had cut a deal with Paul Ryan BEFORE the election, fully expecting HILLARY CLINTON to be President, but believing that some Pub House votes would be needed to get the bill through the House.
RyanCare was actually SUPPOSED to have been HillaryCare, which was why the original RyanCare bill preserved 99.9% of obamacare, and it supposed to have been Hillary’s gift to the insurance companies, while simultaneously shafting Trumps voters, who are the people who would have suffered the worse under HillaryCare/RyanCare, with even higher premiums than we pay now, all the while proclaiming to the public that she had “fixed” obamacare.
Ryan went ahead with HillaryCare anyway, thinking he could bulldoze the House into screwing their own constituencies even worse than happened with obamacare. If this had passed, Ryan also knew that it would totally sink Trump’s ship before four years was out, which was another major goal of Ryan’s, namely, to try to destroy President Trump before 2020.
The Conservative Caucus saved Trump’s bacon whether he knows it or not.
I think I just saw some hyperbole
I think I just saw some hyperbole
Since there was no vote, no one will know specifically who to primary. As anyone can tell from this thread, there are a whole lot of people who strongly support the president in general but support the Freedom caucus position on Obamacare.
The vast majority of Freedom Caucus members represent the most conservative districts in America where running against Paul Ryan will be a plus.
Politically astute members of Congress have already gauged support for their position in their districts before stating that position in public. Without exception, every member of the Freedom Caucus ran on a platform of the COMPLETE repeal of Obamacare, not half step measures.
The AHCA had 17% support nationwide. Freedom Caucus members will be just fine particularly since they have the Koch Brothers billions behind them.
As bad as Ryancare would have been, Obamacare is much worse....now it is here for at least till after 2018 midterm as the division is established “we won’t work together” to get rid of one of the main reasons voters elected Trump.
Yeah how saved we are from another socialist disaster /s
Trump/Ryan care only put lipstick on the pig of Obamacare.
The 2015 bill to repeal Obamacare has already gathered over 240 house votes when the attempt to repeal Obama’s veto was voted on. That is 55% approval of the house, More than enough to vote on the floor. The repeal was put in just two days after the AHCA crap sandwich.
Pass it out of committee, bring it to the floor and send it to President Trump to sign.

Are we sure that Shep Smith didn’t write this? Sounds like a PMS induced emotional outburst.
