Kaepernick's problem is NOT his politics. It's the fact he's severely regressed in quarterback performance since 2013--and nobody wants him because of that.

I suspect his putrid game against Chicago last year has teams very wary of what he can do on the field. Especially in poor weather.

Yeah, I think it’s more than 20% of the organizations that see that he peaked at not actually very good and it’s all been downhill since the SB.

He spent half of last season sitting on the bench for the worst team in the NFL. What’s that tell you?

I think his politics is a huge part of his problem. In addition to him being a non performer he is a cancer in the locker room and brings bad PR with him like stink on a shoe.
If a team picks him up and loses a game in which his stats are weak, the media will eat them alive.

Kaepernick’s problem is NOT his politics. He is a terrible QB past whatever prime he had.
However, saying politics is not his problem is like when hearing that JC Penney’s is closing another 138 stores, saying that politics had nothing to do with that!

“Kaepernick’s problem is NOT his politics.”
BS. That’s exactly it. I was in SD when he was boo’d off the field. They didn’t boo him because of his performance. That was secondary.

Agreed. No matter how noxious his politics are, Kaepernick will be on an NFL roster sooner or later simply because the NFL is starved for QB talent. But he never grew as a QB after his breakout 2012 season and as you said, he instead regressed. Some of it was due to the fact that he hasn't had good receivers and his pass protection has been bad, but most of it has just been Kaepernick himself - he isn't a pocket passer and never will be.

At that level, you cant just show up on Sunday and win. I suspect he's the type that rides his protected class status and no one will tell him to get off his ass and do the film and classroom work between game days.

Sooo,
The fact that he is a cancer for any team
And a real problem for a sizeable percentage of any fan base?
Winning isn’t every damn thing and i would NEVER root much less spend my money onsuch a team.
