La La Land and then the correction ... WTH? ... Moonlight?

A member of my family has Oscars on... That's why I am watching some parts of the show...If I had my way, I would watch something else...
Mel Gibson's film won sounds effects award...
was over at a friends house watching if you listen to warren baitey. he starts talking about politics. at this point I think he is going to go on a anti trump tirade but looking back I believe that he thought that the fix was in for best picture so when he opened up the envelope he picked the movie that probably really did win best picture and announced la la land instead of the crappie picture that was given the award.

No, that is simply not how it happened. He didn’t announce it, Faye Dunaway did.
If you watch the clip he is clearly confused about what to do and doesn’t want to read from the (wrong) card in his hand. That is because he had somehow been given a duplicate of the Best Actress card with “Emma Stone, La La Land” printed on it. He clearly does not know what to do, and Faye Dunaway is urging him to make the announcement. He shows her the card, she sees “La La Land” and announces that. The card was not printed with the Best Picture info.

Yes it was been Accounting firm PriceWaterhouse for many years. Back in the 70's \ 80's My Mom's Cousin was one of the two Accountants they use to trot out on stage for a few seconds briefcase in hand.
They protested and they threatened. And low and behold, this year a Black film wins Best Picture. Conservatives need to take note.

The Oscars were far more tolerable when the award winners simply thanked everyone from their mama to the high school junior-year drama teacher and then got the hell away from the mic. Ah, but now... they have their pet liberal causes — the latest hating Trump — to push onto the world.
This is because the presenters walk onto the stage from either the left or the right, so there have to be two stacks of envelopes, one at each stage entrance. The stacks are held by the two employees of PriceWaterhouse who are the only two people anywhere who know the results.
One of the accountants screwed up and handed the 2nd copy of Emma Stone's envelope to Beatty.
They obviously don't trust the presenters enough to hand them the envelope more than a instant before they step on stage, worrying it might give them time to sneak a quick peek and inadvertently let a spoiler slip.
Geewhiz, I don't get it. Aren't Hollywood actors the most trustworthy, honest people in the world, who we should be taking all of our cues from, re what we should believe when it comes to politics, morality, religion, etc?

If this hadn't happened NO ONE would be talking about the damn show.
BTW, I can’t fathom a more unwatchable movie for Best Picture than Moonlight!
I NEVER watch movies.....they seem so SICK anymore.
