I’ve still got a lot of leaves in my yard I didn’t get cleaned-up last fall.

Would it make sense to run the lawnmower over them come Springtime and mulch/mix-in to the garden before it plant it?

I’m guessing I should probably add some extra nitrogen fertilizer if I do it.

I think it would work, if you have adequate time before planting to let things meld. Hubby is just now working on clearing leaves, but he has several piles from last year that will be ready to use.

So this spring’s leaves will go into a new pile for use next year. He’ll add grass clippings etc all during the summer.

Yes running a mower over leaves a good way to get them to decompose faster.
