Fox News moments ago reported on Colmes death with a segment narrated by Sean Hannity, who paired with Colmes for years on the venerable talk show Hannity & Colmes Alan Colmes Dead at 66 - The News Clip Today
Second video is Colmes last show with hannity back in 1996. What a difference a decade or so makes.
Time makes us all humble in the end.

Strange how Hannity looked back in 1996, looks totally different.
Really nice guy.
Rest in Peace
Colmes syndicated show (before teaming up with Hannity) came on my local station after Rush. He was always accusing callers of just reciting Rush talking points, although he seldom was able to dispute what they were saying.
Oh, and RIP. He did seem like a nice guy.
I guess we all look like kids 20 years ago.
He always seemed like a totally nice guy. RIP Mr Colmes. I believe he was married to Monica Crowley’s sister. Sad.
I didn’t agree with a lot of his views but I did listen to him because he was calm and rational most of the time.
Rest in peace worthy opponent.
Detested his viewpoints and ideology but at least he could discuss differences without rancor. Very sad for his family. Sixty-six is still fairly young to die. Prayers up.

Every secular progressive will eventually get to meet God.
You misspelled “40”
Exactly, he made himself clear: he was a God hating Communist. And unless he changed his ways and accepted Christ before his death, he is not resting in peace he is in Hell.
I heard Mike Gallagher eulogize Holmes. He said that although they disagreed politically, Holmes was, as an individual a good person and friend. He did not hold grudges because one disagreed with him.
Alan was always polite and a good host.
Many conservatives are and were opposed to his views including myself.
But think about this, without Alan and others like him, conservatives would be less driven to focus and sharpen their own views and beliefs. Alan, in that sense, provided an impetus for opposing views to speak out and act, and he did in a way that was respectful.
More liberals should follow the manners of Alan.
RIP Alan.
De mortuis nil nisi bonum.
One may or may not be able to find a clip on YouTube, in writing, etc. but to my recollection, Colmes' often lowered himself to the usual liberal personal invectives when push came to shove.
Enough. How did he die? Why is no one saying how he died?
He died of cancer, it was reported on Fox this morning!!!
Cancer.
Personal life
Colmes was married to Dr. Jocelyn Elise Crowley, a professor of public policy at Rutgers University, whose sister is Monica Crowley, the conservative radio commentator, pundit and television personality.[17]
Colmes died on February 23, 2017 at the age of 66 after suffering a brief illness, which Stuart Varney disclosed to be cancer.
