Strange how Hannity looked back in 1996, looks totally different.
Really nice guy.
Rest in Peace
Colmes syndicated show (before teaming up with Hannity) came on my local station after Rush. He was always accusing callers of just reciting Rush talking points, although he seldom was able to dispute what they were saying.
I guess we all look like kids 20 years ago.
He always seemed like a totally nice guy. RIP Mr Colmes. I believe he was married to Monica Crowley’s sister. Sad.
I didn’t agree with a lot of his views but I did listen to him because he was calm and rational most of the time.
Rest in peace worthy opponent.
Detested his viewpoints and ideology but at least he could discuss differences without rancor. Very sad for his family. Sixty-six is still fairly young to die. Prayers up.

Every secular progressive will eventually get to meet God.
I heard Mike Gallagher eulogize Holmes. He said that although they disagreed politically, Holmes was, as an individual a good person and friend. He did not hold grudges because one disagreed with him.
Alan was always polite and a good host.
Many conservatives are and were opposed to his views including myself.
But think about this, without Alan and others like him, conservatives would be less driven to focus and sharpen their own views and beliefs. Alan, in that sense, provided an impetus for opposing views to speak out and act, and he did in a way that was respectful.
More liberals should follow the manners of Alan.
RIP Alan.
De mortuis nil nisi bonum.
Enough. How did he die? Why is no one saying how he died?
I didn’t know him personally, so I can only comment on his “on air” personality.
He was a left wing Kool-Aid drinker. He believed everything the left vomited. Frankly, I couldn’t stand to look at him or listen to him. He represented the Socialist positions very well. In other words he was good at being bad.
I’m glad Fox FINALLY dumped him. Sorry he got sick and died. We are all gonna die. He was my age. I expect to live for a long time, but it’s not up to us.
He was thoroughly predictably liberal with all the democrat talking points
But he was not mean and defamatory (like the current progressive dialectic)
I am sorry for his family and friends, he was too young to go quite yet
RIP Alan Colmes.
RIP, Alan. You were my favorite liberal if there is such thing. Your viewpoints were exceptionally flawed but you always had a kindness and mannerliness that is absent among most. I did respect you.
That "black Irish" metamorphosis is an amazing thing, innit?
Thick, whitish blond hair, very pale pink skin and pale blue eyes in early childhood;
hair becomes progressively dark ash brown/nearly black, often curly, by early adulthood and the face may have a sprinkling of freckles; usually the features are clustered in a small area in the center of the face, with lots of forehead, cheeks and chin around them;
hair starts turning white strand by strand and some capillaries start bursting on the face and legs in one's 30s;
by 60 the thick and wavy head of hair is usually mostly white, with the blue eyes poking out of a red beefy face; if the person drinks, the nose gets bigger and redder;
by 70 there are peeps of pink scalp visible through the still thick (and now snowy white) hair at the temples or crown, and a few shiny white spots of scar tissue dotting the red face or the tops of the ears where skin cancers have been burned off by the doctor.
It's a red, white and blue look at that point.
Wasn’t he married to Monica Crowley’s sister? I hadn’t seen or heard him in years. May he rest in peace, and may the Lord comfort his friends and family.

I thought I was watching Mark Cuban.
RIP Alan. I enjoyed him because he would always provide a good laugh (or enraged scream) at the Dem talking points, but a gracious foil to Hannity.
