Monday marks the end of US President Donald Trump's first month in office. US mainstream media spared no efforts in satirizing and criticizing him. The latest Gallup poll released Saturday local time shows that Trump only had a 40 percent approval rating, 21 percentage points below the average rating for presidents in their first month in office. Trump said that "any negative poll is fake news," but analysts believe he does care about the results.
Trump's first month in the Oval Office can only be described as bumpy. He is now losing his offensive momentum and is entering the stalemate stage. His Muslim ban was suspended by a federal judge, his national security adviser, Michael Flynn, was forced to resign, and US mainstream media harshly criticized him. Although traditional media is in decline, when the New York Times, CNN and others want to teach Trump a lesson, they show no mercy.
The number of the people who predict that Trump won't last the full four years is increasing. However, Trump may not be that fragile. Unlike other US presidents, who might quickly fall apart in the face of surging negative public opinion, Trump confronted such a predicament during his presidential campaign and won despite tremendous criticism. Therefore, his tenacity is unique, and he seems to have a knack for turning adversity into positive results.

Trump is “on vacation.” He can “come back” at any time.
If true, sell the SPX
100%. The media has no accountability on anything it says.
Political hyperventilation means little. If Trump’s economic policies are successful and the people sense prosperity and progress he and the Republicans will be reelected. Also the people will be very gratified if he secures US borders, enforces immigration laws and avoids costly foreign entanglements.
Global Times China.
Gallup.
LOL.
“Trump is Finished” declaration #321312
People don’t operate on high intensity 24/7, 365. They produce in ebbs and flows. Donald Trump has more energy than any politician I’ve ever closely looked at, and that goes for any age. I don’t care if he take time out once in a while to golf or dine or spend time with his family. The president is still a human being and not a robot, automaton or Manchurian Candidate as certain other presidents appeared to be.
Well said, don’t let the mods see it though.
Trump can gain momentum any time he wants.
I think we’ve heard that line before...quite a number of times. Some of us who preferred other candidates back during the primary might have wanted to believe it was true back then, but it clearly was not or it was short lived. It wasn’t true every time it was said in the general election campaign or was very short lived. And it will be short lived this time as well if it is occurring at all - he has his replacement National Security Adviser squarely in place now that is behind him.
China’s press, the European press, the U. S. press, it’s all the same these days.
None of them are for us.
There ought to be a $2.00 dollar bounty...
Fake polls to create fake news.
! T I H S L L U B
He's plateaued
Just slipping off the plateau
Down to the fjord
He was always pining for.
(meanwhile...the Trump train is gathering steam for another run)
See, he's losing momentum already.
Maybe Trump team has to make some compromises with McCains, in exchange for more support from GOP.
The same people who told us he stood no chance of winning the nomination.
The same people that laughed at his chances against the smartest woman ever.
Yep, with a track record like that color me worried.
The only concern I have is for his health. He is still full speed ahead, but there is not as much to do with executive orders now. We all have to suffer the congress for the wins.
