Season 7 episode 9 "Rock in the Road":
"Rick and the others are led to a new community, where they meet the residents and their ruler; a familiar face resurfaces."
OMGosh thank you for the heads up!!
No longer watch it.
It was great, but those days are gone.

Walking Dead ping!
Please let me know if you’d like on or off The Walking Dead ping list.
First 4 seasons were great. Not so much since.
Oh wow that’s right, I forgot it starts tonight! Will they finally fight against the male version of Hillary Negan, or will Rick continue to act like Obama.
In before: “I haven’t watched TV in 25 years.”
Give me a break, people are watching a show about walking dead people and violent gangs and they complain when it is violent or gruesome. They should switch to the Disney channel then.
Hooray. Thanks for the heads up. I am kinda glad they toned it down- I watch it for the story line, and not the gore so I won’t miss that extra grossness. There’s enough of that in the real world. JMHO.
Thanks for the head’s up-I would have missed it.
That brings back my memory of that little song:
Living on easy street.
So when does that occur? Next year? I'm under the impression that all the episodes for this season have been filmed and in the can.
That backlash wasn't against the violence. The backlash was that the violence was so cartoonish, it negated the emotional impact of losing such important characters.
I've had a very difficult time keeping up with this season. Because of my work schedule, I found myself waiting for the weekend to watch the show On-Demand and then falling asleep 15 minutes before each episode ends. I don't know if it's me or the show but it sure seems like there's a lot of filler.
They seem to have lost their way. Negan isn't intimidating at all. In the real ZA, someone would've kicked his ass a long time ago. Maybe that's why it's so hard watching Rick and the gang turn into such mewling wussies.
Someone needs to right this ship soon. Actually, what am I bitching about? Even crappy Walking Dead is still better than most of what's on TV. I guess I just expect more.
Maybe it's time to get Frank Darabont on the phone.
PERFECT! LOL!
Assuming that that article is true (it might not be), even though episodes have already been filmed and edited, they can go back in and edit them some more - especially if they just need to cut a few things. They could have started toning the violence down a bit almost immediately - around episode 2.
“No longer watch it. It was great, but those days are gone.”
I look at it the same way. I could suspend my disbelief about zombies but the show got more and more ridiculous. It jumped the shark long ago.
I haven't watched TWD since Dec. 2016........
Am I on your list, too? Please put me on.
I have not watched the last three shows, we are on an extended business assignment in Mexico ( and no TV at all where we are staying.)
However, I do listen to a great podcast of the show with recaps and viewer comments. They are a couple of Canadian guys who put out a Walking Dead podcast every two weeks even if they show is not airing. They are funny in a gentle Canadian way and very entertaining.
I, myself listen to them a little every night before I go to sleep.

The violence can’t be much worse than Criminal Minds. I quit watching it several years ago. It seemed each episode tried to be more gory than the previous one. But that also seemed to be competition among all of the TV dramas that have a coroner/medical examiner in their cast — to see how much more gore they could muster.
And the CM story lines became too ridiculous — Emily Prentiss, secret agent who died and came back. {click}
Many TV series extend beyond their ‘best used by’ dates. TWD is in that category. When the writers have to stretch to fill time, it is a good indicator that the series has about exceeded its interest capacity.
Many movies have a similar problem — they should have ended about 10-15 minutes sooner than they did. I am of the opinion that no movie should exceed an hour and a half. Much more and I see areas that could have been cut out without impacting the action or plot.
