Almost seven out 10 Democrats believe Islam “encourages violence… about the same as other religions,” according to a new CBS poll.
The trusting attitude towards Islam is revealed in the February 2017 poll follows 17 tumultuous years of attacks against Americans motivated or shaped by Islamic ideology throughout the United States—from the 9/11 atrocity to the Pulse nightclub attack in Florida committed by an observant, orthodox Muslim man from a Muslim family.
Merely one-in-seven Democrats believe that Islam is more violent than other religions, such as Christianity, Mormonism, Judaism, and Buddhism. One-in-ten Democrats believe that Islam is less violent that other religions, according to the poll of 1,019 adults, which was taken Feb. 1 and Feb. 2.
In contrast, Republicans have a far colder view of Islam. Sixty-three percent of Republicans view Islam as aggressive compared to other religions, and only two percent view Islam as more pacific than other faiths.

Question #1: How many people did Mohammed kill? How many slaves did Mohammed own/and or and sell? How many women did Mohammed rape?
Question #2: How many people did Jesus kill? How many slaves did Jesus own? How many women did Jesus rape?

Islam is the younger brother of whatever impulses led to the rise and spread of Christianity, with serious birth defects that occurred when it was aborning. Mohammed Ali, a sun-crazed old schizophrenic, reinterpreted the vast store of religious tracts and writings that existed at the time, then wrote his own version of the Creation story, discarding huge portions of much of the accumulated teachings of both the Old Testament and the New Testament, making only cursory references to “Issa” (Jesus) and ignoring altogether the long historical record of the Jewish people. Nowhere in that screed called the Koran is there any reference to either the Ten Commandments, or to the Golden Rule. The successful and favored son of Abraham was not Isaac, father of the Jewish people, but Ishmael, common ancestor to the various Arabic people. There were various cults that grew up in the ancient times, directly competing with the monotheistic notion of religion, one of which was worship of Moloch, demanding that children were to be cast into furnaces, and to whom sacrifices of even some adults were to be made. Somehow Moloch was conflated with a twisted version of the God of Abraham, and the result was Allah, a most bloodthirsty deity that demands strict and unwavering fealty, enforced by bearded men with burning eyes.

They know damn well that in modern times Christians are not violent. If they were afraid of Christians, Hollywood and stand up comics wouldn’t constantly be mocking them.
It’s like when Sting referred to the Tea Party as violent, even though there was absolutely no violence at Tea Party rallies, but tons of violence at Occupy Wall St, among other Left wing protests.
They just slap a label on something....Bush is Hitler, Trump is Hitler, the Israelis are Apartheid Nazis, blah blah blah. Whatever it takes to affirm their worldview in their little social bubbles.
