Is anybody planning to Freep the White House Correspondents Dinner? Lots of journos promising to boycott because of Trump. I have a friend in D.C. who would like to meet up with you.

I can't remember who runs the Freep so I can't contact them directly. Freepmail me if you want.

Trump should cancel it. Save taxpayers’ money.

The D.C. Chapter passed on last year's dinner due to continuing lack of interest except for a few of us (and my family obligations.)

No one has expressed interest this year until this thread.

“Trump should cancel it. Save taxpayers’ money.”

Trump could refuse to attend, but it is not an event he can cancel.

It’s not Trump’s event to cancel. He could choose to ignore it, but the WHCA is an organization of churnalists and they can do what they like.

I definitely think Trump should decline to attend. He should find some other public activity where he can score some PR points and make some type of big press-worth announcement.

It would be a smackdown for the MSM, and also it would be fun to watch them all torn between missing the Trump event or going to their stupid self-aggrandizing dinner.

That would be cool if he just failed to show up. Then someone could record all the Moonbats bashing Trump.

Trump could host a documentary on Fake News in the same time slot. He’d get bigly ratings.

Trump should tweet that he will have a couple important policy decisions to announce at the dinner. Then, any news org. not present will be behind the curve. Politics aside, news outlets hate to be caught behind the curve on breaking news.

Yes, I wish the President would come to San Diego, and visit with the troops who are at the “tip of the spear” here in this area: Seals, SpecOps, Marines.

THEY WOULD LOVE THAT ..!!!

Surprise visits would be easy since most of these groups facilities are highly classified and not in the public domain. And, the President might include Miramar - FA-18’s fly here .. and he has tasked one of the aircraft makers to put forth a bid for that aircraft to the President.

I love the sound of this aircraft, especially when it screams over my house, takes a big left turn and heads on down the street to Navy Housing - where all the kids are waiting for them. I like the looks of the FA-18 much better than the F-35 .. but I do realize they have different tasks to perform. My first favorite was the F-14 - used to be at Miramar - when it was a Navy base.

Yes, very interesting. I forget the broads name they got to host. She is so far left, even my husband won’t watch her TV show. Thanks for info.
