A California woman is mourning the death of her husband after an unexpected death following a tooth infection.
Twenty-six-year-old Vadim Kondratyuk was suffering from the bothersome tooth when he left his home near Sacramento on Jan. 17 to begin a truck driving job that would take him to New York.
On his return home with his brother along for the ride after Kondratyuk said he couldnt make the trip alone the pain was too much to handle and the two stopped at a hospital in Utah.
Doctors said the infection spread to his blood and lungs, killing the father of two days later.
"Nobody ever thought that something from a tooth can happen so big and go everywhere, said his widow, Nataliya. It's going to be hard with both my kids without a husband. Half of me is just taken away."
Tooth infections can cause serious illness if not treated. Doctors say infections can be prevented by regular dentist appointments and care. Patients should seek medical help immediately if they experience one.
Yikes. Are drug resistant superbugs on the way?!
Medieval times!
“Bring out yer dead!”
I always wondered if someone could really die of a toothache in his heel. I guess they can.
Poor guy......yes this can happen.
Sounds like “Ludwig’s Angina”. . . uncommon in the USA, but fairly common in Eastern Europe. The only sure treatment is intravenous antibiotics.
Wonder if rinsing with peroxide each day helps?
Yes, teeth are very important to the entire health of the body. Infections like this KILL.
My dental hygienist said the best thing you can brush your teeth with is Listerine.
Certainly wouldn’t hurt....and Vitamin D!
Wrong! The best thing you can brush your teeth with is baking soda. It has a five second kill time on all bacteria. Listerine doesn't. Use dry baking soda and work the baking soda down into your gum line.
Then once a week swish your mouth out with a 20 to one water to Clorox bleach mixture called "Dakins solution" (it's basically strong swimming pool water and tastes about the same). That will kill anything the baking soda misses and is the only known substance that will dissolve dental plaque. Don't worry if you swallow any of it, it converts in seconds to salt water.
That will kill any bacteria in your mouth including the hardest bacteria to kill called Spirochetes.
I usually take a swig of the stuff.
Tooth infections are very bad.
Try activated charcoal. Charcoal absorbs toxins....whitens teeth also :)
I started brushing my teeth with baking sofa over 20 years ago when toothpaste started making my mouth burn. You told me about the Clorox thing a while back but I forgot. I’m going to start doing that. Can I mix the Clorox and water up and keep a bottle in the bathroom, or do I have to mix it up fresh each time?
No. Untreated tooth infections can lead to death. Not new or unusual. Not the result of a superbug but rather ignorance about dental hygiene
Colloidal silver...swallow it, swish it in the mouth, put it in a wound. It kills the bacteria on contact so it has no time to become resistant. Everyone should have it in their home. Works for everything, ear infections, strep throat, etc.
I’m brushing twice daily with my brush dipped in hydrogen
peroxide & baking soda, then rinsing out my mouth with
hydrogen peroxide. (I have to use FOOD GRADE HYDROGEN
PEROXIDE mixed with distilled water & Arm & Hammer baking
soda). Regular drug store hydrogen peroxide gives me mouth
sores & also generic baking soda does the same. Don’t use
the food grade hydrogen peroxide full strength as it will
tear you a new one in your mouth if you do. Dilute!! Keep
your mouth CLEAN!!! Avoid trouble by heading it off at the
pass! I order my Food Grade Hydrogen Peroxide Concentrate
from ebay and store it in the refrigerator & mix up a
spray bottle at a time. I also spray it on the kitchen
counters & wipe off.
I also use GERMICIDAL CLOROX & ARM & HAMMER BAKING SODA as
well occasionally for cleaning surfaces; but I don’t like
it in my mouth.
Years ago, we did the “colloidal silver” thing; but seeing
the photos of the people who have turned a silver color
from using it - I think I’ll just use what I use and leave
the CS off. (We even bought the little rods of pure silver
in order to use in our generator; but decided no.) When it
gets in the system; there is no way to “fix” it.
Be sure to use ANTIBACTERIAL CLOROX instead of the more
recent Clorox with all the weird chemicals added to it.
(We get ours by the gallons at LOWE’S.)
