I don't know what has changed in society, but I am done.
The stupid protests of the last week have pushed me over.
I'm going to limit my Facebook presence
I really need to move out of California, but my husband has work here.
I'm beginning to think the terrorist have won because they have split our nation.
P.S.
I love the name Yaelle (Jael, Yael) [Judges 4 & 5]. I am using it in the science fiction novel I am writing.
Oh and let me add... since Trumps election, all the people she defended turned against her because she celebrated trumps victory!! smh...
... and being allowed to train to fly (not land) airliners.
We need to return to the only-citizens-may-pilot rule for American commercial airlines.
Sorry that you have to live in CA. I live in Eastern PA & am surrounded by liberal colleges. When we went to a Trump rally in Hershey, we were surrounded by thousands of very nice Deplorables. Gratifying experience.
“I’m beginning to think the terrorists have won...”
That’s too bad. Shouldn’t you be thinking Trump (we) won? And shouldn’t you be beginning to think of ways to back him (us) up, instead of bailing out when the fight is just beginning?
On second thought, who needs you. Go hide in your safe space. If the keyboard commandos on FB are too scary, God help you when reality in jackboots kicks down your door.
Sorry, please forgive. I hit send before thinking. Mea culpa.
:-(
Another option is to use the “unfollow” button, that way if you have a friend who is a stark raving moonbat their updates don’t show up in your timeline.
It’s even easier to unfollow your lib FB friends I don’t see any, not one, liberal posts. All the friends I follow are concpservative. I’ve even unfollowed some family members
Besides, I don’t want to argue with idiots on FB.
Somehow it fits me. Lol. Thanks.
I was on Facebook once. It was like walking into a Sodom singles bar.
Never went back. Turn your back on it and walk away.
Get out of Kaliforniastan. I did and don’t miss it in the least.
That’s what I’m working on. Also changing lots of people to acquaintances and changing my privacy.
I’m with you. The woman’s March put me over the edge. I posted an anti-stupidity, anti-hypocrite rant insulting every liberal I know and deactivated my account an hour later. I despise liberals and what they have done to this country. There’s no reasoning with them. I’m done. I hate what theyve done to our country. I feel like even though we won, we really didn’t. It doesn’t matter that you are in liberal Cali. My husband and I retired to conservative SW Florida a year ago and we still encounter stupid evil libs.
I've got one lib/prog brother who hasn't spoken two words to me since Obama was first elected. I once caught him trying to preach his libtard crap to my (then) 15 year old daughter via Facebook, and I slammed him hard for it. Haven't heard a peep out of him since.
bttt
Change all your privacy settings
You don’t have to unfriend people just unfollow them. You won’t see their posts. As soon as someone I know posts something lib....boom! Unfollowed.
If someone is constantly posting selfies....boom! Unfollowed. Lol
I unfollow all the idiots and they never even know it.
I Use FB to communicate and keep up with my family back east. I don’t do politics or drama or just plain crap on it.
We had a situation similar to yours. We were close to retirement. We lived in California. We had savings and an expensive home. Having had enough we decided to relocate to eastern Tennessee in 2010. My husband found a job there and worked for three years before he retired. We’ve downsized. The people in the Bible Belt are treasures — as I expect the people in Texas are.
If you can swing it, and can work out the logistics, it might be worth it to leave California behind.
“At this point I’m thinking, KMA, I don’t need this cr**.’
Pretty funny! Got a laugh out of me.
I’ll never understand how/why they (the “tolerant” left) believe that their opinions are the only correct opinions, and why they believe that it’s OK for them to bully others.
“it is very hard to believe that people of this country are STANDING UP for the possibility of ANOTHER 9/11!!!”
And it’s 10 x more vile to realize that some of those people are GOP Senators.
We like Tennessee too! We’ve thought about moving there. My family is in Texas, but my husband would enjoy the outdoor activities of Tennessee more.
