I don't know what has changed in society, but I am done.
The stupid protests of the last week have pushed me over.
I'm going to limit my Facebook presence
I really need to move out of California, but my husband has work here.
I'm beginning to think the terrorist have won because they have split our nation.
We keep my husband’s page open but his news feed is only comprised of news stories and a few close like minded friends. He doesn’t unfriend them; he just takes them off the feed. But we have two pages to our local town because you do get the best news and recommendations there.
I’ll tell you one thing Facebook is great for. When a politician, entertainer, or company does something stupid, I immediately go to their page and read the comments. The Fed-ex guy who saved the flag this weekend can probably thank the social media backlash for saving his job. The silent majority isn’t silent on Facebook and it’s great!
Luckystarmom-do whatever it takes to get out of that state. There are other places to find work. We moved out of northern CA to upstate SC. It was the best thing we ever did.
Also get off FB. There are people posting crazy stuff at this site. They are moral cowards hiding behind a computer screen. Shut them down and concentrate on what is important in your life.
I am in CA. also it is very hard to believe that people of this country are STANDING UP for the possibility of ANOTHER 9/11!!! WE WILL NEVER FORGET means NOTHING anymore!!! ALL of those BASTARDS were here on over stayed visas!!!!!
I’m trying to do the same. First, I unfollowed everyone who’s whining about politics, then, I only follow people who are posting non-political stuff or organizations that do the same (archaeology, music, science, cat stuff, travel, etc.). But the main thing is, very limited time on FB.
Oh... my...
This is your feelings talking. If you were serious, you would be looking into all of your out-of-state options in regards to income, housing, and moving costs. You would not wait. You would deal with this issue IMMEDIATELY.
Things are going to get worse.
I PROMISE you.
I, myself, found a real nice lifeboat where I can ride out the shit-storm that will engulf the USA in conflagration. While it rages on and on, I just sit back on my porch, drink my coffee and feel the warm south China sea breeze on my face.
Things are about to get REAL.
It’s the fourth turning, and there will be changes. For the overall good, it will occur, but during this period it will be uncomfortable. You can pretend that it will not change. You can pretend that things will calm down. You can pretend that jobs will stay. Houses will remain intact. Schools will function. Or you can plan otherwise.
Is it worth the risk?

As far as I know only women use Facebook.
The few brief times I stopped by and look, it was no different than the way girls socialize in high school.
Therefore I surmise it just facilitates arrested development of girls to women.
Ha, I went off on my liberal sister, I usually ignore her.
Tiny houses by Texas standards are about two thousand square feet.
Easy to blame a person, group, country, state or city for problems. The REAL problem is ALWAYS that person looking back atcha in the mirror.
Our only goal should be to get to our Father in heaven. NOTHING ELSE.
Jesus taught us HOW to do that. LOVE your enemies. Do unto others. Those are SIMPLE things to do but NOT easy.
"mediapukes"? I LIKE it.
It was the “women’s” March that hot to me.
Then they sat that protesting is our right.
Well, I am not seeing protesting. I am seeing intimidation.
The sad part is seeing my kids’ friends turn into flaming liberals. My own kids are pretty brainwashed.
My sister marched in Tennessee.
Ah feel your pain too. Caring for mom here in CA, not going to stay here forever. And FB? I go on briefly for good reasons and get the hell off. My friends on there are so liberal, so fooled. It is painful and unwelcoming to say the least. And being a hated minority here gets old. If only I were gay, trans, or into s&M or bestiality, I could “be who I am” right out in public. Instead I am living in the shadows. The illegals sure as hell aren’t.
I don’t even open my home page on Facebook anymore. I have no desire to see the liberal rants of some of my relatives. I’ve got conservative friends who post there, too, but they can have the place. I don’t need the aggravation.
I visit my secret groups, and that’s about it.
I agree in spirit, but I put it much further back in years:
The communists really began to take control over 100 years ago, with the Amendments: Income Tax, Direct Senatorial Vote, Vote For Women (they did not care about women, they cared that women are 50% of the population, and reliably vote farther left than men on average).
Then, in the 1920s, The Frankfurt School [a.k.a., The Frankfurt Institute for Social Research] began its usurpation of all academia. Today, they have infiltrated all existing organizations, as part of their Long March Through The Institutions. Those institutions include Christian seminaries and colleges, which have become as corrupt and leftist as many of the worst secular schools.
I have planned otherwise, it will be to the death if that's what it takes.
Is it worth the risk?
Yes, I believe it is!
Sometimes FB enhances your life. Our neighborhood watch is on there and you learn about suspicious activities that could save lives or help your neighbors. I also like to see people’s children and such. But I am on a couple times a week and briefly.
If I scroll the feed, I feel very bad. People I do like are spouting such lies that they’ve been fed. They say such hateful things about “my kind.” It makes me feel bad for myself, my future, and them. So I never scroll that feed.
I wish I did have more conservative friends. One day we will move somewhere else.
