A teacher who displayed the Confederate flag to middle schoolers in his history class was forced to retire amid concerns that he was displaying a symbol of hate.
70-year-old Sutter Middle School (Folsom, CA) teacher Woody Hart hanged both a Confederate flag and a Union flag during his lesson on the Civil War.
In a public statement (via the Sacramento Bee), Folsom Cordova Unified School District made suggested that he may have hung up the flag for some reason other than to teach the history lesson.
We recognize that regardless of context, to many of our students, families, and staff, the Confederate flag is a racist symbol of hate, the statement reads. Although this matter is under investigation, it is important to reiterate: Any employee who is found to engage in behavior that creates an unsafe environment for students will face full consequences, including the possibility of initiating termination proceedings.
In this case, the flag which was found across the room from a Civil War Union flag, potentially in preparation of a history activity was removed from the classroom before school began today, it continues. It is our schools responsibility to provide a safe learning environment for all children.
You can bet that if the Left could get away with it, they’d toss the Stars and Stripes out with the Stars and Bars. And for the very same reasons.
Uh-oh. Better not teach about the Mexican-American War. Or Spanish-American War. Or Korea. Or Vietnam.
We know which flag is the symbol of “hate.”
It is long past time for pushback on this nonsense. The underlying agenda here is to erase history and to disallow any education at all.
The end goal is enforced illiteracy in order to reduce us to total barbarism.
When I lived in Savannah I happened to visit the National Museum of the Mighty Eighth Air Force located in Pooler. It was quite impressive and I mentioned it to two of my colleagues who were driving with me to Macon the next day. Both colleagues were Jewish and one just tore into the museum for having the gall to display a Nazi flag. It was displayed along with a lot of other war loot that had been brought home by returning GI’s,. The museum was the usual multimedia and artifacts, guns, jeeps, aircraft, uniforms, training manuals, and video kiosks. They were just getting started on an expansion at that tine and I am sure it’s an even more impressive museum today.
I didn’t want to argue with my colleague, but I had to point out that as disturbing as it was to see a swastika on a large flag on the wall, it was not there as an endorsement, it was there as an artifact of the actual events that took place, at that point, roughly 60 years earlier. It was an actual Nazi flag as had been displayed by the tens of thousands throughout the course of the war.
To argue that it should not be displayed was rather insane, I thought. I think likewise of this teacher’s effort to draw some interest into the topic by display of replica flags.
Sorry, no, it’s not just a cost-cutting scheme. It’s far more evil than that.
Did you read the story?
Well first I would hope that some student would point out the error. Secondly, the Nazi symbol is probably ok seeing as how it represented the socialist party of Germany.
The moral of the story is freedom loving people and symbols are bad. Socialism is good.
I would imagine they would say you’ve got the wrong flag!!!
I used to put a rifle or shotgun in my locker so I could hunt on the way home. Imagine what the principal at this school wouldve said about that.

The girls’ rifle team at my highschool shamed my own shooting.
1st time I went to Lookout Mountain I thought “What lunatic thought this would be a great idea?”
But, Sherman couldn’t get to Savanah without taking Chattanooga and going through Lookout Mountain was the only way.
said the same to my wife earlier. The West coast and north east needs to leave.
There is no parallel between the CBF and the Nazi flag. That is an insult.
RE: Lookout Mountain...
With many of the well fortified positions,
Sherman just cut around them whenever he could.
He was not there to take and hold territory,
his was a mission of slash and burn; shock and awe.
Forget it. They'd be rolling.

Two. The Nazi Symbol is still an insult to man’s conscience as it should be....
Three. Socialism hasn’t been given enough time to work and just gets a bad rap...
I know the flag you are talking about.I supplied a ton of the parts the B17 was missing to the museum and thought how the flag was appropriatley displayed and was a war prize afterall.
What parallel?
Of course that would be an insult and as a Southerner I would never make that mistake.
The left politicizes everything it touches.
