I'm curious how many of you will be celebrating President Trump's inauguration on Friday.
I made a vow to celebrate at Wing's Plus in Coral Springs where Brian Craig, co-host of the Steve Kane radio show (the FIRST on radio to endorse Trump), will have a Trump Inauguration party. I made a vow during the campaign (and especially during a Trump rally I attended down here on Aug. 10) that I would definitely attend.
I remember many nervous times during the campaign and now it will be SWEET to celebrate victory. I know my mind at the party will wander back over many events during the campaign starting with Donald Trump's announcement in June 2015 followed by immediate assertions by the MSM that Trump had NO chance of being nominated and probably wouldn't even last by the first debate.
Over and over and over again, the MSM declared the Trump candidacy dead and EVERY time he prevailed. EVERY TIME! In August 2016, Chuck Todd even kept declaring that Trump would have to drop out of the campaign because it was OVER for him. Yes, they all mocked the very idea that Trump could win...and then he WON. The most INCREDIBLE political campaign in American history.
So it will be great to celebrate. Oh, and while I am at the party, I made sure to record a full 5 hours of the inauguration on TV to savor later.
I’m going to your house on Friday! Yum!
MAGA!!!!
Making mental note. My escort hasn't told me what section we are in.
On my knees thanking the Lord.
Glad you’re aboard, FRiend !
We were planning on closing the shop for the day, and just enjoying the televised festivities.
Yesterday we were informed that the installers will be here at 9:00AM to install twelve new windows on our house. I just had to shake my head and laugh.
New president - new windows....it’s all good.
Albion I hope you have a great time but it’s not looking the best as far as weather at this point in time....here is what I got off web.
If you’re heading down to Washington, D.C., for the 2017 presidential inauguration ceremony, you may need your raincoat instead of your winter coat.
The National Weather Service is calling for mostly cloudy skies and temperatures in the low 40s at 9 a.m. Friday, shortly before the musical portion of the inauguration ceremony kicks off, and temperatures around 48 degrees at noon, when President-elect Donald Trump is scheduled to take the oath of office.
Although that’s 5 degrees warmer than normal for late January in D.C., the ceremony could get dampened by rain. The weather service is predicting a 50 percent chance of rain around noon and a 70 percent chance of rain after 1 p.m., which could impact the inaugural parade.
On Friday night, the skies in Washington will remain cloudy, with the mercury dropping to 41 degrees and a 30 percent chance of rain.
AccuWeather’s forecast is similar, with a daytime high of 48, a nighttime low of 43, and a 66 percent chance of occasional rain showers on Friday. AccuWeather also is expecting a slight steady breeze of 5 mph, gusting at times to 7 mph.
It’s our day so gluing myself to the couch and watching every lovely minute
............awesome! be safe and have fun!
lol. I’m not the gangsta type but found that funny. Was it hard to get tickets to the Ball?
Indeed.........
Wow! Thank you for everything you have done.
Just a little light humor.....
If it wasn’t 3,000 miles away, I’d be there in person. My wife is going to make me an apple pie. I don’t get apple pie very often because I am a diabetic, but one small piece shouldn’t mess me up too much. I will watch the event on tv and eat a piece of my apple pie. In the afternoon, I will raise our flag for the first time in nearly 8 years.
I will thank Almighty God for the new beginning.
That night, I will sleep better than I have in 8 long and painful years. It will truly be a “new morning in America”.
Its proper name is the Gadsden Flag.
Thanks. Ill probably be in the Boston area along I95 on Friday
Great!
At some points, I considered flying the flag in the distress manner.
I think some FReepers actually did.
Is it still allowed, where you are, to fly historical flags? ;)
(a joke...Sort of...)
There will be fireworks.
Thanks, i almost got stuck in a blm road block on I40 in Memphis last summer.
I’m planning on an appropriate beverage at Noon, EST.
