So guys, what's the over and under on Obama pardoning Hillary and/or Bill? Time is getting short. Then of course it may not be made public immediately.
Not sure, but I think she actually has to be charged with a crime to be eligible for a pardon.
he will. he wants to live. at the very last minute
I say not. It would be a tacit admission of guilt for Hillary to accept a pardon, plus Obama can have great fun (and fundraising) criticizing efforts to prosecute Hillary as a partisan witch-hunt - all while assuming the position of top dog in the Dem Party that used to be held by Bill and Hill.
Nixon was never charged.
If he pardons her, he will do it at 2:00am on 1/20.
Nixon was never charged.
And I think convicted.
She doesn’t have to be charged to be pardoned. But, he won’t do it because it implies she is guilty.
Marc Rich was indicted but never convicted.
Yes. He just pardoned Bradley Manning... the twisted treasonous creep is to be freed in May.
I don’t think Obama likes her, so he won’t pardon her.
No. Besides, the Democrats want to get rid of the stink of the Clintons, so no pardon means Bill and Hillary will suffer the consequences.
Nope. As president, he could pardon her for any and all crimes committed prior to Jan 20, 2017, and that would be the end of it.
The only odds I saw quoted were about 4:1 against a pardon, by the way.
He will.
If pardoned would Hillary be required to testify honestly 9about actions in office? In other words does she give up the right to self incrimination?
I agree 100% with your analysis. No pardon.
“:Nixon was never charged.”
But his blanket pardon was never challenged either. Legal minds still debate if what Ford did was legal.
