In an open letter, provided exclusively to TheWrap, the “Dreamgirls” star apologized to the LGBT community, saying she was “uneducated on the issues that affect every American at this crucial time in history and for causing such dismay and heartbreak to my fans.”
The Tony and Grammy winner came under fire from some of her fans on Friday after it was announced that she was set to perform at a concert as part of Trump’s inauguration festivities.

I assume she has fans who planned to attend, she stood them up. Maybe she should be forced to compensate them too?

What an a$$whole. The left has transformed the image of Trump into a target for everybody’s hatred. Trump’s image has been turned into the overall, general, universal bad guy, so that each and every victim group now can have a reason, although invalid, to hate Trump.

This isnt Trump as such, but his supporters, who they hate, even more than Trump, originally. Since Trump made himself the war-chief of those people the hate transferred to him.
The popular term these days is oikophobia to mean fear of the common people, though thats not quite it. More like fear of home or the native. Which is pretty much a general state of mind among urban elites, including all those wealthy gay fellows likely to buy expensive theater tickets.

What's even more ironic is that she's probably on some sort of Progressive Arts Industry shadowban for agreeing to go in the first place.

Everytime one of these Hollywood Elites comes out with their anti-Trump messages, I add them to a list—people who I will not support in movie or concert tix or DVD sales.
It is not an intentional boycott per se, I just cannot watch their movies and get into their character—all I see is them dissing Trump!

If history and memory serves me correctly, Joe McCarthy didn't blackball anyone. It was the Hollywood moguls who did the blackballing in that industry.
