It doesn’t work with any of my browsers: Opera, Pale Moon or Vivaldi. Chrome is GoogleGarbage. I won’t use it.

Don’t know how well it works, but worth a try. Since everything is connected now it’s hard to get rid of pop ups. Any thing I search shows up. From shoes, to vitamins.

Many websites offer “printer friendly” versions of the articles. If freepers posted links to the “printer friendly” pages this would help a lot in minimizing the annoying aspects of outside webpages.

Yes, I am running “uBlock Origin” and “Ghostery” on Chrome.

According to what I read when I was looking around for something to block YT ads, ‘uBlock Origin’ is the go-to - not the other ‘uBlock’ ad-ons (there’s a few of them with the same name)

I have everything blocked on Ghostery except ‘discus’ (so I can read those comments under articles) I have to allow sites like Facebook with a ‘one time allow’ to see those comments under articles - It’s an extra click but better than facebook following me all over the place.

I've noticed in the last month or so, many links from FR reports send me to sites that take forever to load because of ads and pop-ups on the page.

 

So don't click those links.

The real problem here is lazy and incompetent FReepers who fail on posting a thread. They excerpt when it's not necessary and they do not post 50% or less (max 300 words) when they must excerpt.

Posting a thread should really be a perk for paying members. And the moderators should review and approve each new thread before it gets posted.

I run up to 4 separate browsers at once and have NEVER seen a popup on American Thinker.

I’ve never had a pop-up on FR. It’s got to be coming from something else on your computer, malware of some type.

FR is, by far, the cleanest site on the Web. I have been on here 19 years today and have never had an issue.
