This news organization spent an hour talking to Edwards, 74, about what Kaepernick has done and where the movement needs to go. Here is an edited version of the conversation with the UC Berkeley professor emeritus who lives in Fremont:

"When I contacted the Smithsonian (new National Museum of African American History and Culture), I told them they shouldnt wait another five or six years to get Kaps shoes, jersey and photo of the Time magazine cover and a photo of him kneeling. They need to do that now. They absolutely agreed."

“where the movement needs to go”
The Progs and Marxists are always talking ‘the movement’ or ‘the revolution’.
.....???....under it
The bowel movement???
Americans are tired of the Marxist identity politics, hence why Trump garnered massive support in flyover country.
Maybe as the Janitor!! That would means he would have to work!
The societal grenade Angela Davis should sue his ass for appropriating her younger years’ image.... :0)
Retard and Rabid US Hater Harry Edwards says:
We have to understand the magnitude of that step alone. And if he did nothing else for the rest of his career, if he did nothing else the rest of his life, the conversation he has provoked, the fact he managed to achieve something the Kerner Commission called for in 1968, and nobody else, not all politicians, and presidents, and Congresses and courts and preachers and pastors have been able to accomplish: to get the president to the United States down to the guy shining shoes at the bus station in Atlanta talking about this. When you have that kind of accomplishment you have done something significant.
Jackson and Sharpton have to hustle for bucks.
But Edwards has been doing this barely-restrained angry black man schtick for years and received a handsome salary from Stanford et al who should know better. Of course, Edwards would accuse them of racism if they decided they didn’t need another apologist for thugs.
Whenever an athlete does something ignorant or dangerous the media will cover it. But if the athlete is black he can rely on Harry Edwards types to make excuses.
“to get the president to the United States down to the guy shining shoes at the bus station in Atlanta talking about this. When you have that kind of accomplishment you have done something significant.”
Didn’t the first open faggot in the NFL also get that kind of historic attention?
Is he going in this museum too?
Stuffed and mounted?
:0).....the face and facial hair are damned close....but it’s the big afro of A. Davis that’s iconic.
At least Frank Zappa had a purpose.
Kaperdick belongs in Guantanamo along with the rest of his woeful team!
He will join the likes of unapologetic Marxist-Leninist Angela Davis at the museum. I will never go to that museum.
A cautionary note here; I think that this is possibly true but the Professor has a habit of truth stretching. He may have talked to someone at the Smithsonian who voiced the agreement but, to date, there has been no official statement on this action. If they were to do so, I'd be having very sharp words towards them with my elected representatives in Washington!
This whole thing with America’s attic has gone too far. Is Lonnie Bunche the son of Ralph, who was a UN one-worlder?
Oops, Bunch vs. Bunche. Sorry.
Got this from a football fan buddy, no idea if it’s true but I’ll bet it is:
Clark Hunt, CEO and Owner of the Kansas City Chiefs
Mr. Hunt called a meeting with all of his Coaches, Players and field staff and firmly told them,
“You are all simply paid performers on a stage and that field is my stage!
You will stand, with your hand over your heart and with respect, when our Country’s National Anthem is being played or you will no longer be a Kansas City Chief, a Coach for the Kansas City Chiefs or have any association with the Chiefs Organization!
I will immediately fire you, no matter who you are!”
You can make your political statements off the field, but when you’re employed by me and I’m signing your check,
I demand that you make our fans proud and not embarrass them.”
MY KIND OF AN AMERICAN
