Defense and special teams set the tone; Alabama set the table for a two-game playoff run after a 54-16 SEC Championship Game win over Florida, as the Tide makes a bid for a 17th national title.

Wild first half.
Is it my imagination....or does the SEC have the most beautiful women in the country?
Call me Deacon Blues.
Not your imagination!
Saban is not just a great coach, he also treats the media the way it deserves.
Win-win.
Agreed on Saban and the Progandist on TV! Lol. Harbaugh, Meyer, Belichek etc. Looking forward to the Tide v Buckeyes rematch.
Go Bucks!!
Nice for the Gators to give Bama a bye week.
I am glad Tennessee didn’t win the SEC East. Playing Alabama a second time would have been as humiliating as losing to Vanderbilt. Alabama is going to roll to the NC.
Absolutely!
I am a UGA fan, but always pull for the SEC in bowl games. Bama’s defense rocks.
Yup. Lov'em....they made as many points as did Florida's offense.
And....I think Florida had negative rushing yards for the game.
LOL! Was commenting to a buddy last week...watching Alabama is starting to become boring!
That SEC East is just terrible. Two years in a row now, the “champion” of the East has been merely an average team.
And unfortunately "winning" the SEC East the last two years, probably means McElwain will be around for a few more years, with his mediocre football.
Hey, don’t underestimate the SEC east. TN’S coach said that TN (who was heavily favored to win the East) said it didn’t matter they didn’t win the East because TN were champions of life. They then went on to lose to a bad Vanderbilt team.
Only reason why Florida beat out Tennessee for the last two SEC East titles, is that Butch Jones is an even bigger idiot than McElwain is.
Maybe the Bucks will be lucky and fall to 5th in the final poll.
The injuries to Bama are concerning. I was wondering why Florida didn’t exploit some weaknesses in the secondary more. Then those interceptions happened.
I love seeing players that started out as walk-ons contribute positively in games. That happened tonight. A classmate of my oldest son has gone from walk-on to scholarship player this year because he has worked hard and done the right things. We are so proud of him! RTR
One game at a time. This week is the time to focus on finishing in the classroom. Then comes the mini season.
