While avoidance of a Hillary Clinton administration is a YUGE relief, a heartsease if you will, the ebullient elation of some around here at every tweet or comment from the president-elect and his perspective cabinet members -- without even bothering to look at the first detail -- is growing tiresome.

Case in point: A news item where Trump's Treasury Secretary nominee mentions a plan to return Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to private control. (This is something Obama has proposed for 8 years.) Sounds great, right? Until you read the article that implies there is NO PLAN AT ALL to end the taxpayer backing of the bundled sub-prime mortgages that the institutions will continue to market. Pat attention to the details, people!!

For the heartsease of all...at least you know I'll stop in once a year!

Now the first of December was covered with snow
And so was the turnpike from Stockbridge to Boston,
Tho' the Berkshires seemed dreamlike
On account of that frostin',
With ten miles behind me and ten thousand more to go...
There's a song that they sing
When they take to the highway
A song that they sing when they take to the sea
A song that they sing of their home in the sky
Maybe you can believe it if it helps you to sleep
But singing works just fine for me.

So goodnight you moonlight ladies
And rock-a-bye sweet Baby James
Deep greens and blues
Are the colors I choose
Won't you let me go down in my dreams
And rock-a-bye sweet Baby James.

Heartsease is also a kind of annual wild Pansy that looks pretty in flowerbeds and can be used as a medicinal herb-it isn’t native to this area, but I buy some at the local nursery every Spring-

Bernie Sanders’ comfort zone
And heartsease appears to be
Living in a socialist fantasy
Where just everything is free

The companies pay high taxes
They are not allowed to fail-
And if they try to leave here
Maybe put the owners in jail

That didn’t work in the USSR
Sensible people know it’s true-
So he dreams in his beach house
With nothing productive to do...

I find it impossible to understand the fantasy world people like Bernie and Fauxcohontas live in-it is just bizarre...

I don’t see any heatsease here, thanks to a certain element:
