Several years ago, President Barack Obama's political team inaugurated an interesting holiday tradition when they advised Americans to talk about health care policy over Thanksgiving dinner. They were amateurs. After this year's election, with everyone hot to tell their relatives in America's heartland about the errors of their ways, Thanksgiving is going pro. A few talking points to help you:
If home is a Rust Belt community hollowed out by globalized economics and left with inadequate assistance for trade adjustment, mediocre schools and a porous social safety net, then, before the bird is even stuffed, lay into your relatives about how racist they were to vote for the candidate who made opposition to trade a centerpiece of his campaign. Deliver this one with extra force if they voted for Obama...

Ours is thawing in a cooler in the kitchen.
Nobody is lecturing me on anything this Thanksgiving. If that’s how people want to act, I WILL pack up my family and walk. I don’t plan on waggling my finger at anybody and they’re sure as hell not going to do it to me.
ULAANBAATAR, Mongolia (AP) Exiled Tibetan spiritual leader the Dalai Lama said Wednesday he has "no worries" about Donald Trump's election as U.S. president, adding that he expects the businessman will align his future policies with global realities.
"I feel during the election, the candidate has more freedom to express. Now once they (are) elected, having the responsibility, then they have to carry their cooperation, their work, according (to) reality," he told reporters in the Mongolian capital, Ulaanbaatar. "So I have no worries."
BTTT.
Lol
You know where we live ... in Boring, Union County, just east of Charlotte.
I feel bad for people who don’t get along with their family over politics. I guess I’m lucky I have one aunt who sends out the typical memes and emails (she’s conservative but it’s still annoying) but the rest of us are pretty chill and wouldn’t hold political differences against each other.
Do you need help changing your soiled diaper?
Can I get you a road map to Canada?
Can I offer you a box of Kleenex and a bucket for your tears?
It must be horrible being in your Terrible Tantrum-Throwing Twos again, huh?
We have a lot to be thankful for this Thanksgiving. One of the top ones is escaping from Hilary. It won’t be mentioned in my prayer at the table, but it’s there anyway.

I’m more than a little surprised and in turn PO’d by the post election vitriol from lefty relatives “friends” and acquaintances. Difference is, some of them should be suspended\fired for the cruel thoughts expressed but as many are cosseted in govt\academia they won’t even get a warning. People who I’ve known for years and know my character all of a sudden are calling me the usual list of lib epithets. I’m dropping\unfriending the non-family haters, and putting those it would be more difficult to drop, like one of my cousins and a particularly noxious co-worker who has been harassing me in front of other co-workers for months, at a more limited level of contact.
The handwringing over the Electoral College as if they had never heard of it and dismissal of the notion that Mme. Bobblehead received any fraudulent votes makes it even more frustrating.
My mother is having 26 people -all libs. My husband and I are the only conservatives in the family. We decided to escape to Wisconsin after my mother sent an email on November 9 saying the family “needed to come together and heal from this traumatic event” among other things. I lovingly told my mother that we would not be there because she set the tone for the day and I would not subject myself to being a walking, talking target on which she could vent her anger about the election.
Thanks, I try!
If you hover the cursor over the graphic, the headline in this post is exactly correct. US News probably changed the title since this morning.
So your point is hovering over the tab graphic doesn't necessarily show the actual headline? I agree.

You are welcome to join me and my family in Hot Springs Arkansas tomorrow! It will be a real thanksgiving! I only wish my father had lived to see it.
Actually US News and World Report seems to use the article headline as a part of the URL for the article. The URL says "how-to-lecture-donald-trump-voters-on-thanksgiving" which was probably the original title.
Perhaps you have found another example of Russian hackers trying to influence American politics.
Not me. I’ll be with my wifes family. They’re all trump supporters. My own siblings are all pretty much Clinton supporters. I haven’t talked to most of them since the summer. Don’t plan to really bother with them much anymore.
The closest that I had was my sister. She disowned all us brothers when our Mom passed because she didn’t get everything she wanted from the estate. No loss there.
