There's more of the letter at the link. Or, you can buy it for under $25k. For a serious Beatles collector it must be worth more than that.
MCCartney was always the delusional one. And to add, he’s an avowed obama ass kisser.
“Imagine there’s no heaven, it’s easy if you try”
FUJL
Paul McCartney was the genius as evidenced by the success of the Wings.
Venus and Mars
Flame away I was never a Beatles fan
Lennon was a pig. McCarney is a dope.
Too bad he didn’t sign it.
Interesting it also says ‘love’ at the end. At their lowest point, they still were mates.
Interesting. Nothing more than a kick in the ass for Paul, and a (probably) well-deserved trashing of the Eastman family.
Peace, love, dove!
Maybe in 45 more years Esquire will delve into the letters between Podesta and the Democrats about what they really think about “the base” voters.
My goodness, he used the “C” word! This can’t be from John Lennon, he was all about bein a Liberal and peace and love and tolerance!
Right? LOL
John Lennon was reportedly the last to give up on the Beatles and didn’t sign off on paperwork until the mid-70s.
When did he kick his heroin habit?
My wife and I saw McCartney at Desert Trip in Palm Springs last month.
What struck me, is the depth of the music catalog. No way is there time in an evening to get through it. Contrast to the Stones, Neil Young, Pink Floyd, Bob Dylan and the Who who also performed.
For the John Lennon parts, Neil Young stepped in. Magical.
Incredible string of albums from Rubber Soul to Abbey Road. “All Things Must Pass” showed that they could have gotten quite a bit of good material out of Harrison, too, if they’d stayed together. I remember seeing some film documentaries of Lennon and Harrison taken shortly after the breakup - the bitterness and anger was very real. These guys had been so close for so long - it seemed very much like the breakup of a marriage.
Yoko was the spark!
I am not a big Beatles fan, but respect what they did for music. Paul McCartney's performance was enjoyable and a nostalgic trip back in time. He impressed me as a genuinely nice person, who plays bland, yet popular music.
Lennon gave the Beatles music an edge that McCartney lacks.
Drug abuse explains the letter.
.
The drugs had destroyed Lennon’s gray pile.
.
“I think I’ll put on “Sometime in New York City”, it’s a masterpiece ! “ ... said no one ever.
Lennon is unlistenable crap.
I never liked the Beatles. the music was way to childish.
