Something I Think Is Getting Glossed Over From The Debate
Me | 10-10-2016 | Vanity

Did anyone else catch that bit about enforcing a no-fly zone over Syria? We could do that, but it would mean aerial combat taking place between US and Russian aircraft.

I don't know about any of you, but I don't see Syria as something worth risking even a conventional conflict with Russia over. Also, it's a bad idea of nuclear powers to fight each other directly. The potential for a nuclear conflict is high, and given the number of warheads we and the Russians have, that conflict would be a disaster of literally biblical proportions.

We should be cooperating with Russia in Syria to kill ISIS

That is who will take over. It may not be CALLED that right now, but if ‘the rebels’ win, they will be immediately overrun by ISIS- and who will fight them?

I agree.

Syria is a mess. There are no good guys present there - or at least none I’ve been able to clearly identify.

Let both sides fight it out as long as they want to. If they’re killing each other off and the Russians are blowing millions of dollars trying to prop us Assad, that’s fine with me.

Personally, I am praying for the commanders in the field and the pilots to keep a confrontation from directly happening at least until we (hopefully) get a real President and not some Muslim son of a b!tch occupying the White House.

Hillary and the globalists are against Russia because it is an independent nation in Europe, insisting on its own borders, its own language, its own culture, its own politics. Its probably the only aggressively Christian nation left in Europe. It will frustrate the plans of the new world order. Therefore, it is hated.

EXACTLY!

It's far too late for a "No Fly Zone", once the russians became involved. I thought Trump missed a chance to nail the bitch with this very real possibility of US - russian conflict when she brought that up.

This is all just because Pooty Poot is kicking the !@#$# out of ISIS and Obama wants ISIS to succeed. Once Trump gets in there we’ll both be on the same side. Putin is no friend of Islam.

That’s not important. Everyone’s sexual proclivity, however, is important.

Exactly!

Hillary talking about what we should do in Syria is exactly what Trump was saying, “All talk and no action.”

Hillary and obama talk about Aleppo but they know it’s too late to do anything. And I am not sure if there was a justifiable reason for us to go in there.

Hillary and obama show great concern for Aleppo but never mentioned the genocide that was taking place against the hundreds of thousands of Christians slaughtered at the hands of isis.

Why does the media keep asking the candidates about Allepo.

Oh dear, all these civilians are going to get killed, what are you going to do about Allepo?

Psst...why not ask Barry, if the situation is so urgent.

Especially when the Soros-supported Obama administration did so much to help Russia on missile defense and nukes, including the especially dangerous Obama-Putin Iran nuke deal, which Putin loves and claims to have played a major role in. That while the treasonous SON practically dismantled the US military. And he did all this ON PURPOSE, not out of "naivete", "inexperience", or "incompetence". What I think is going on is that he (Obama) is trying to set the US up for defeat, given all he's done to help build them and hurt us.

Agreed 110%. Looking at the bigger picture, we have waaaay more in common with even Putin’s Russia than we ever will with bagdadi’s IS (excepting the current US admin where this does not apply).

” enforcing a no-fly zone over Syria? We could do that, but it would mean aerial combat taking place between US and Russian aircraft.”

I’m no military expert, but I consider this effort a towering mistake bearing no possible gain and fraught with terrible risks.

First, undoubtedly the Russians have installed their S-300 and perhaps S-400 anti-aircraft systems, or they would, in very short order. I am not especially advocating fearing these systems but they are not toys.

The argument could be made that we should sacrifice a few planes and men to probe the effectiveness of the S-300/S-400. I find that ghoulish but perhaps smarter people than I would consider that a valuable enterprise.

I do NOT think the US could enforce any sort of no-fly zone there. Repeat: Do NOT. It would be seen as a fruitless effort and we need no more encouragement for our enemies to adventure farther.

Russia has very serious interest in Syria, whether we understand the depth of it or not. We have little or no interest there and the US public is blitheringly tired of endless Mideast wars. I say, there isn’t squat we can do about Russian activities in the ME short of starting a hot war with Russia which is 500 millions times LESS worth it than the ME already is.

Yeah, I heard that, too. I’m pretty sure Putin wouldn’t take too kindly to any of his aircraft being shot down by us.

Now, if we just happened to loan some SAMs to the locals...
