Village Creek Train Wreck

Train wreck between Arlington and Ft Worth. 1880's. Engine never recovered.

The engine fell to the bottom of what is now called Eastwood ravine.

This is not the Lake Superior wreck. This one is in Texas. The other thread got me to remember hearing about this one when I was younger and living in that area of Texas.

Never recovered only means that they didn’t get it pulled out of the ravine, not that it wasn’t found and inspected.

There was a train wreck on the Rock Island Line about 10 miles from this one in the 1950s in the 1970s about 3-4 cars were still there.

When I left Dollar Tree Monday, a little boy ran up behind me and bumped his face in my backside just as I cut some MASSIVE mustard.
