Ammon Bundy says he tried to resist......(OREGON STANDOFF TRIAL: FEDS VERSUS DECENT PEOPLE)

Ammon Bundy carried a worn Bible to the witness stand Tuesday and portrayed himself as a weak underdog pitted against a powerful federal government that has tied to crush his family.....

Bundy told jurors that his family has grazed cattle at their ranch near Bunkerville, Nevada since they homesteaded in the 1870's....

his family faced a "tremendous amount of abuse" for trying "to protect these grazing rights....

"We can't do it against these people. They're too smart. They're too strong. We can't fight them. Now they're prosecuting us...My dad and brothers are in jail now, every single one of them. It's wrong," Bundy said, tears filling his eyes....

he initially resisted his father's push in the summer and fall of 2015 to get involved in the case of Harney County ranchers Dwight Hammond Jr. and Steven Hammond....

Ammon Bundy said he had a change of heart....

Of his visit with Steven Hammond, Bundy said, "I began to understand he was pretty tired of fighting and he was pretty much broken emotionally...He was just going to take what was given."

Bundy's lawyer, Marcus Mumford, asked his client how he responded to Seven Hammond's position.

"I didn't understand until I spent 8 and a half months in prison, how he felt," Bundy said....

As he remained on the witness stand, Bundy's attorney played for jurors clips of video from the 2014 standoff in Bunkerville. They captured a woman Ammon identified as "Aunt Margaret" getting thrown to the ground by a federal officer after she stood briefly in front of a government vehicle and then Ammon Bundy getting shot with a stun gun three times after he parked his four-wheeler in front of a government dump truck.....

Assistant U.S. Attorney Ethan Knight earlier has objected to the videos being presented to jurors...

There’s more than one BLM in need of second amendment attention.

More of this? Flame me but Bundy led or participated in armed insurrection and is now exactly where he belongs.

When the courts are bought and paid for by the enemy, what recourse is there? But the armed insurrection should have been by taking out THOSE WHO GIVE THE ORDERS from ambush, or causing them to have "accidents", or to just disappear.

OK so it's not whether or not someone breaks the law, it's the degree? Or is it the specific law itself; some you are OK with and other you want the hammer to drop? I think that Clinton and Obama could be, and should be, prosecuted for a myriad of offenses because they were against the law. Same with Bundy. Same with any other law-breaker. Anything else is hypocritical.

I am voting for Trump as well. But let's not pretend that he's going to change Congress and Washington. Cleaning out those stables are more than any one man can be expected to accomplish. Trump has his agenda. The Democrats have theirs. The collision between the two will be...interesting.

...Do you know all of what the suck off federal employee union slugs did via orders from some other bought off hack boss?...w t f?

THOSE WHO GAVE THE ORDERS should have had mysterious "accidents" or just disappeared. That should be so common an occurrence that it's on page 12.

Its the govt largess and over reach that created the situation. If the govt wasnt restructuring its longstanding deals with ranchers, blatantly lying to them and destroying their livilihood none of this would be an issue and the Bundy/LaVoy thing would not even exist.

Don't make it sound so overwhelming.

He'll appoint every major office ..... DOJ, SOS, etc

DOJ alone can clean up 90% of our nation !

What if .....

Just think .....

What if - DOJ successfully prosecutes Holder, or Hillary, or Lynch or ...

What happens to every decision that emanated from them ?

...they can pay the applicable costs, not steal it.

You appear to discount the fact that the use of it was stolen from them by the passage of laws with exactly that intent. And that any fees paid will only enable more of the same. And, costs? What do they spend, other than wages for employees to make sure nobody uses the land?

But they did, and in protesting that action Bundy is charged with breaking the law. Being a martyr is tough sometimes.

And as for Finicum he was armed, refused to obey the orders of the police, and made a move they thought was threatening. Police recently shot a guy in Charlotte for less than that.

He'll appoint every major office ..... DOJ, SOS, etc

Assuming the Senate approves.

DOJ alone can clean up 90% of our nation !

I highly doubt that.

What if - DOJ successfully prosecutes Holder, or Hillary, or Lynch or ...

I will be convinced of the existence of miracles.

What happens to every decision that emanated from them ?

Nothing.

Treason against the country you swore to protect

vs.

Starting a back fire on your own land(?), illegally killing a deer out of season(?), illegally grazing cattle on govt land that has been unconstitutionally taken from your family by laws passed to do that very thing, so politicians can sell the mineral rights and benefit financially on a personal level from their governmental fraud.

Does the degree of crime matter when its time to drop the hammer? Ask the OSP/FBI.

But the guy in Charlotte wasnt led and encouraged into an ambush by paid covert FBI informant and forced into a situation where the police would be justified in killing him.

Treason against the country you swore to protect...

Treason, like racism, is one of the most over-used words out there. People have forgotten exactly what it means.

Does the degree of crime matter when its time to drop the hammer? Ask the OSP/FBI.

Does that selective enforcement make it right?

You mean it would be irrelevant if a member of the black community purposefully was working in a covert instigator role, for the police (for money, lighter sentence, whatever his reason) in order to drive the BLM rioters down a blind street where police have a heavily armed ambush set up, and it is most certain that they would do something that would provide justification for the police to use deadly force?

Too bad for all the black folks.

Pretty much, though I would point out that Finicum gave them all the justification they needed by current law enforcement standards.
